This unique cultural tradition was handed down from the fathers of Tudelanians with its center theme focused on love, unity and prosperity with the hope of ultimately re-committing the individual to the spiritual and social codes of the past: a combination of merrymaking, thanksgiving, and prayers for a good harvest, good health and good luck. Middle Temple hall hosted revels entertainments The revels were a traditional period of merrymaking and entertainment held at the Inns of Court, the professional associations, training centres and residences of barristers in London, England. In Filipino music, the kapanirong is a serenade (from the root word sirong which means "to go beside a house") by a group of young bachelors who would go to a maiden's house and play their music by the window.
