"Make My Day" was the Macedonian entry in the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, performed in English by Martin Vučić. The song is an up-tempo number, with Vučić telling his lover that he is tired of being mistreated by her ("You just try to make me cry") and that he is prepared to end the relationship over this. He tells her that she should "Try to play another way/Or I will find another love" and that she can "Take it all" if he ends the relationship. Unusually for such a song, the performance was quite static.

The original soundtrack for the visual novel titled Maiden's Rest was released in Japan on February 25, 2005 by Digiturbo. The Futari no Elder visual novel has four theme songs: an opening theme, an ending theme, and two insert songs. For the Windows version of Futari no Elder, the opening theme is by Yuria, and the ending theme is by Aki Misato.

On 4 December 2009 it was officially announced that Maria would participate in the Melodi Grand Prix 2010 the national contest which will decide the Norwegian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 to be held in Oslo after last year's Alexander Rybak victory. Maria's song is called "Make My Day" and is written by Merethe La Verdi and Mats Lie Skåre and is described as mid-tempo. On 8 January, the first heat of the Melodi Grand Prix 2010 was held in Orland and Maria won the semi and advanced to the Final in Oslo, where she did not come in the top four.

In the 1980s, to further his career as a filmmaker, Pierce moved to Carmel, California, where he met and befriended actor Clint Eastwood. Pierce shared a film treatment he had developed with Eastwood, who liked the story and helped Pierce develop it into Sudden Impact (1983), the fourth entry in Eastwood's Dirty Harry film series. Pierce was given a writer's credit for the story along with Joseph C. Stinson. Pierce is said to have written the phrase, "Go ahead, make my day," the film's most famous line, which went on to be identified as one of the ten best movie quotes of all-time by the American Film Institute.

The phrase was inspired by something his father once told Pierce in his youth while encouraging his son to mow the lawn: "When I come home tonight and the yard has not been mowed, you're going to make my day." However, whether Pierce truly invented the phrase has been brought into question, since the same line was used in the action-drama film Vice Squad (1982) the previous year. Around this time, Pierce also directed Sacred Ground (1983), which was released the same year as Sudden Impact. In 1985, Pierce released a sequel to The Legend of Boggy Creek called Boggy Creek II: And the Legend Continues.

William Ellis Kinsley (born 28 November 1946, Anfield, Liverpool) is an English musician with The Merseybeats until 1966 (although he temporarily left the band both to form the Kinsleys) The group disbanded in January 1966 to resurface as a duo called The Merseys. They recorded The McCoys' song "Sorrow" (also covered by David Bowie on his 1973 cover album, Pin Ups) with the band before embarking on a solo career, where he recorded "Bye Bye Baby". This song is not to be confused with a Four Seasons track of a similar title, but rather a typical Merseybeat tune. Followed by the singles: "Annabella", and "You Make My Day".

"Make My Day" is a pop-rock song written and produced by Japanese singer- songwriter Keito Blow. It was released in three limited editions: edition A, which has an illustration cover drawn by Aragaki herself, edition B, which comes with a DVD including three live performances and edition C, which comes with a DVD including three music videos and off-shot footage. Aragaki gave Blow a list of themes she wanted her music to reflect and Blow used it as inspiration to write the song, as well as the b-side "I Believe". The second b-side, "Soba ni", was written by Aragaki herself and talks about the many things one can notice in a Shibuya crowd.

Flip Grater regularly tours in Germany, France, UK, Portugal and Italy and is signed to indie labels Make My Day in Germany and Vicious Circle in France. She currently resides in Christchurch NZ with her husband Youssef Iskrane, a French/Moroccan bartender she met while living in Paris recording Pigalle, and their daughter Anaïs. Anaïs was the inspiration for Grater's latest release, a collection of French and English lullabies Lullabies For Anaïs to whom the EP was dedicated.

The bendlets are placed in the 'sinister' (a traditional mark of bastardy) because Frayling's writings about westerns and cowboy films were initially regarded by other academics as illegitimate - the reference to bastardy is thus an ironic satire of this perspective.

The group remained out of the spotlight throughout 2003 and 2004, although Jenny kept busy by performing solo live performances in several Christian shows with her husband Jakob Petrén and released an album as a vocalist with the Swedish group Arose. In 2005, a handful of songs featuring vocals by both Jenny and Linn were recorded with producer Tommy Ekman, including "Would You Believe" and "Make My Day". Jonas and Ulf later explained that the group did not have the energy to finish off the project, though the tracks that were recorded eventually surfaced. At the end of 2005, the group reunited, without Linn, for several live performances at the Night of the Proms in Belgium, alongside other artists such as Donna Summer.

Basic tracks for "If Tomorrow The War" were recorded at guitarist / vocalist Will Benoit's studio (Radar Studios) - a barn built in 1776 that has been updated and runs on solar energy - in January 2010. The album was produced and mixed by Justin K Broadrick (Jesu, Godflesh) and features guest vocal appearances by Andrew Neufeld (Comeback Kid, Sights & Sounds) and Mike Hill (Tombs). The album was released on vinyl with limited, hand printed artwork created by Interrobang Letterpress via Science of Silence Records in the US, and is also available with artwork from M. Repasch-Nieves (Radar Visual) in a gatefold LP / CD from Make My Day Records in Europe. In Japan, the album is available featuring two additional remixes by the band from Stiff Slack Records.

Like its predecessors Fairy Tale debuted atop of the Oricon chart. The album won the "Rock & Pop album of the Year" award at the Japan Gold Disc Awards. Kuraki once again tried her hand in the U.S. market. She released her debut English-language album, Secret of My Heart, and like her single "Baby I Like" the album failed to chart. Her fourth album, If I Believe, was released on July 9, 2003. Prior to the album's release, Kuraki released four singles: "Make My Day" (2002), "Time After Time: Hana Mau Machi de", "Kiss" and "Kaze no La La La"; all of which were Top 3 singles. If I Believe continued Kuraki's number-one album streak and was certified 2x platinum. In 2004 on New Year's Day, Kuraki released her first greatest hits album, Wish You the Best.

After the album was completed, rather than sign to a major label, Stevens decided to self-release Enchanted, and signed a deal with label services company Absolute Marketing and Distribution Ltd. In January 2014, Stevens' manager announced that "Riptide" would be released via Go Entertainment in Benelux and Universal in Ireland. In the following month, the single was playlisted by Radio 2 and radiomol in Belgium and Radio 2 in the Netherlands. During 2014, Stevens again collaborated with co-writer and producer Pete Woodroffe on her second album, Waves. The first single from the new album, "Make My Day", was released in August 2014 and was, once again, playlisted by BBC Radio 2. Stevens performed the song live on Weekend Wogan on 7 September 2014. Recording the album was completed on 15 August 2014 and Waves was subsequently released on 10 November 2014. In August 2015, an expanded deluxe edition of Waves was released with new artwork and eight additional tracks (ten additional tracks were included on the limited edition CD digipack version).
