The imprudence that the Miguelist government showed in harassing English and French foreign nationals provoked them to protest. Eventually Admiral Albin Roussin, was ordered by Louis Philippe I (who, like England, could not obtain any diplomatic satisfaction), to take action; he sailed up the Tagus, captured eight Portuguese ships and forcibly imposed a treaty (July 14, 1831). But, Miguelist reprisals on liberals continued; most sentences were carried out within 24 hours.
On August 2, 2010, lawyers representing another former client in a lawsuit in the Quebec Superior Courts against Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc, amended their Motion to Institute Proceedings to include notary Linda Frazer, a longtime associate of Jones.Fishman Flanz Meland Paquin, LLP (August 2, 2010). Province of Quebec District of Montreal Superior Court, No. 500-17-055257-094 The suit alleges the Defendants acted with gross imprudence and negligence in the execution of a mortgage loan against the elderly client's home, which she had no knowledge of signing.Sutherland, Anne (August 13, 2010).
Born in Lavello, Basilicata, Tartaglia trained at the military school of Ceccolo Broglia and served the Republic of Florence. On 26 June 1402, he fought in the Battle of Casalecchio; he was charged with overseeing the bridge of Reno, but he left his position to participate in the combat, leaving the camps without any defense on his side. His imprudence cost the defeat of his army, and Tartaglia was captured and imprisoned. Released, he assumed responsibility for the defeat, but not enough to appease the wrath of Muzio Attendolo Sforza.
The temple was built on a mostly undeveloped estate donated by Spencer Kellogg to the Vedanta Society of Southern California in 1944. The property was largely covered with thick chaparral shrub, and included a house, a small shrine building, and an art room. Swami Prabhavananda (the founder of the Vedanta Society of Southern California) first met Spencer Kellogg in 1941 through Swami Nikhilananda. It has been published that Kellogg offered the property on two occasions to Swami Prabhavananda, but was turned down due to the Swami's concern for possible financial imprudence or solecism.
"Dispositionist" is a term in social psychology used to describe those that believe people's actions are conditioned by some internal factor, such as beliefs, values, personality traits or abilities, rather than the situation they find themselves in. A disposionist is a person who believes in lay dispositionism, the tendency to use personality traits or other dispositions (e.g., intelligence) to explain and predict social actions or outcomes (Ross & Nisbett, 1991). For example, a dispositionist might explain bankruptcy as the largely self-inflicted result of personal laziness and/or imprudence.
Paganon observed that the HCR wanted to get France to absorb the refugees already in the country so the HCR could concentrate on placing the refugees who were continuing to flee from Germany. He felt this was "unfavorable toward those rare countries like our own, which had committed the imprudence of welcoming foreigners too generously." However, he agreed that France could not return refugees to countries where their lives were in danger. Paganon began to explore the possibility of placing refugees in farming settlements in the south of France.
Prosecutors requested 163 years in prison with the recommendation that Ferrándiz be never paroled again, and a fine of 200 million pesetas to compensate the families of all five victims. In addition, they also petitioned that the State be named secondarily responsible for not keeping Ferrándiz under the necessary surveillance after he was excarcerated. On January 14, 2000 Ferrándiz was found guilty of five counts of murder, one of attempted murder, and another of imprudence resulting in injuries. Ferrándiz was sentenced to 69 years in prison and to compensate the families with 130 million.
White was a controversial figure – a staunch Tory and opponent of socialism and pacificism. His socially conservative stance was increasingly challenged during the 1930s by more liberal ministers, such as John Baillie. Since his death, White has been extensively criticised for his anti-Catholic stance, often denounced as sectarianism. The 1923 report The Menace of the Irish Race to our Scottish Nationality (produced during White's Convenership of the Church and Nation Committee of the Church of Scotland) accused the Roman Catholic population in Scotland of subverting Presbyterian values and of drunkenness, crime and financial imprudence.
Monade (1959 - after 1983) was a French Thoroughbred racehorse and broodmare. After showing great promise as a two-year-old in 1961 she reached her peak in the following year when she won the Prix Imprudence, Prix Penelope, Epsom Oaks and Prix Vermeille as well as finishing second in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. She remained in training for two more seasons, winning the Prix de Pomone and the La Coupe de Maisons-Laffitte in 1963. After her retirement from racing she became a very successful broodmare.
The Anti-Hazing Act was passed as a response to the death of Leonardo Villa in 1991. Villa died from multiple injuries when he underwent hazing rites by the Aquila Legis, a fraternity of law students at the Ateneo de Manila University. Two decades later in 2012, the Supreme Court of the Philippines found five members of the fraternity guilty of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide. The Anti-Hazing Act couldn't be applied to the five since it was still yet to be enacted as law when Villa died.
Goar was frequently visited by travelers seeking advice. On one occasion, he was derided by two pilgrims, who told Rusticus, the Bishop of Trier, that the hermit was a hypocrite and did not live true to his vows of poverty and chastity. Goar was called upon by the bishop to defend himself. When Goar appeared to argue his case before Rusticus, legend says that he effected a decisive miracle, by which the hermit proved his innocence; even more, the miracle indicated that Rusticus was guilty of the very same charges of imprudence and lasciviousness.
W. Kiehl, a professional gardener from Aachen, successfully tested a Spalding Railway in a nursery beginning early 1903. He was able to lay a track over a distance of 250 m over uneven terrain with three men in three hours, although the individual sections had to be collected from various places. He did not use any bolts to connect the fishplates, partly because he had not ordered any. The rolling stock and track building material was so strong that repairs were rarely necessary, except for damage caused by the workers' imprudence.
Black Jester was not considered a success as a breeding stallion, but did sire some notable broodmares. His daughter Black Ray was an influential mare, being the direct female ancestor of Mill Reef, Blushing Groom and Wollow Black Ray's sister Black Gem was the ancestor of the 1000 Guineas and Oaks winner Imprudence. Another of his daughters was Black Domino the dam of the Grand Prix de Paris winner Barneveldt. According to the Encyclopædia Britannica, Black Jester was exported to Argentina at some point in his stud career.
Rachel Bailey, who is portrayed as a single woman in her early thirties, contrasts the character of Janet, who is in a failing marriage and has two daughters. Janet, in her forties, is also wiser than Rachel; Janet is astounded that Rachel has discussed the details of a case with Nick Savage, highlighting Rachel's imprudence regarding her personal life and its effects on her professional life. As one reviewer opined, the character "seemed to lurch from one crisis to another, putting her career – and eventually her life – in danger".
This decision confirms that authorisation of law is not a subjective cause of non-responsibility; authorization does not make the moral element disappear, or else imprudence would remain punishable. Authorisation under low can only cover exactly the facts detailed as authorized in the legislation. Also, the duty de cohabitation which mandates spouses to maintain sexual relations doesn't authorize one of them to impose sexual relations on the other. The right to arrest and restrain the author of a flagrant misdemeanor does not permit molesting, searching or questioning him before the polica arrive.
The classical example of a moral coercion is coercion which results from pressure or blackmail which has abolished the discernment of the victim. The Court of cassation has been able to find that the alleged pressure of the German authorities on the person of Maurice Papon did not abolish his free will and he, therefore, remained responsible for his complicity in crimes against humanity (Crim. 23 janvier 1997). The coercion will not be taken into account if results from a fault or an imprudence of the person who acts.
He is generally have thought to have been too caught up in the frenzy of building decadent Georgian Bath in its final years (the great building projects ceased after 1793 and Brighton then became the new Bath) and to have been overworked to the point of allowing clerical errors. Baldwin historian Jane Root, however, assessed that "he had a history not merely of imprudence, but of deliberate dishonesty." He died at age 70 in his Great Pulteney Street terrace house home, which he had designed. He was buried at St. Michael's, Bath on 14 March 1820.
Pas de Reponse began her three- year-old season in the Prix Imprudence over 1400 metres at Maisons-Laffitte on 11 April. Racing over a distance beyond 1200 metres for the first time, she won by two and a half lengths from two opponents. On 4 May, Pas de Reponse returned to Newmarket to contest the 1000 Guineas over the Rowley Mile course and was made the 5/2 favourite against fourteen other fillies. Before the race Criquette Head described Pas de Reponse as being as good as her previous 1000 Guineas winners Ma Biche, Ravinella and Hatoof.
On her first appearance as a three-year-old, Miss France started 8/5 favourite for the Group Three Prix Imprudence over 1400 metres at Maisons-Laffitte Racecourse on 3 April. She never looked likely to win and finished sixth of the ten runners behind the François Doumen-trained outsider Xcellence. On 4 May Miss France started the 7/1 third favourite for the 1000 Guineas over the Rowley Mile at Newmarket. Ridden by Guyon, she took the lead approaching the final furlong and held off a late challenge from Lighting Thunder to win by a neck.
According to Oak Ridge National Laboratory, there are five categories that plants under construction may fall into that keep them from being included in the rate base. # Imprudence: When a utility fails to show that it made prudent decisions in Public Service Commission hearings, then the facility being reviewed is disallowed from the rate base. # Excess Capacity: Regardless of prudence, a plant recently constructed may not be included in the rate base if it is ruled to have a generating capacity that is in excess of what is needed by the ratepayers. Each jurisdiction will calculate excess capacity differently.
In addition to Germinal, Gil Blas serialized the Zola novels L'Argent, Au Bonheur des Dames, and La Joie de vivre. Guy de Maupassant stories which debuted in Gil Blas include "À vendre," "Imprudence," "L'Inconnue," "La Bête à Maît' Belhomme," "La Confidence," "La Baptême," "Tribunaux Rustiques" and perhaps most famously "Le Horla". Gil Blas critic Louis Vauxcelles's phrase "Donatello chez les fauves" ("Donatello among the wild beasts") brought notoriety and attention to the works of Henri Matisse and Les Fauves exhibited at the Salon d'Automne of 1905. Vauxcelles' comment was printed on 17 October 1905 and passed into popular usage.
On her three-year-old debut, Special Duty started odd-on favourite for the Group Three Prix Imprudence at Maisons-Laffitte on 8 April. Racing on very soft ground she led until 300m from the finish before finishing third to Joanna and Evading Tempete. Despite her defeat, Special Duty started 9/2 favourite in a field of seventeen runners for the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket on 2 May. On the wide, straight Rowley Mile course, the field split into two groups, with Special Duty restrained by Pasquier at the back of the group on the stands' (left) side.
They chase the crew of the Teasel all over the Broads. Through a piece of imprudence on the part of Mrs Barrable, Teasel and Titmouse are caught on a falling tide on Breydon Water and go aground, just too far apart to be able to pass things between them. William the pug is encouraged to make a heroic journey across the mud towing a thread, by which a rope is hauled across to share food, without which some of the party would have had to go unfed for 12 hours. They are still stranded on the mud when the Margoletta arrives.
Educated at first at Eisenberg, he proceeded to the nearby University of Jena, where he studied philosophy under professors Friedrich W. Schelling, G. W. F. Hegel and Johann Gottlieb Fichte and became Privatdozent in 1802. In the same year, with characteristic imprudence, he married Sophie Amalie Concordia Fuchs (born 1780), without dowry. Two years later, lack of pupils compelled him to move to Rudolstadt and later to Dresden, where he gave lessons in music. In 1805 his ideal of a universal world-society led him to join the Freemasons, whose principles seemed to tend in the direction he desired.
Moments after Sheikh Nimr was executed, the Saudi Arabian chargé d'affaires was summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry to protest against the execution. Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossein Jaberi Ansari said the execution of Sheikh Nimr "who had no means other than speech to pursue his political and religious objectives only shows the depth of imprudence and irresponsibility". He said that the Saudi government "supports terrorist movements and Takfiri extremists, while executing and suppressing critics inside the country". The remarks were later condemned by Saudi Arabia as "hostile" and the ministry summoned the Iranian ambassador in Riyadh.
Close connections with American merchants inevitably resulted in links with the United States government. Since the close of the American War of Independence, Baring had kept watch over the American government's finances in Europe. However, his first significant transaction for its account was the sale in 1795 of $800,000 worth of stock and the remittance of the proceeds in support of American negotiations with the north African Barbary powers. To secure the transaction Francis Baring admitted to acting with "zeal, perhaps imprudence, in going beyond the letters of my orders",New York Historical Society, Rufus King MSS, vol.
Lyric of Light made her three-year-old debut in the 199th running of the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket on 6 May and started the 8/1 fourth favourite behind Maybe, Mashoora (Prix Imprudence) and Moonstone Magic (Fred Darling Stakes). After racing in mid-division she weakened badly from half way and was eased down by Dettori to finish last of the seventeen runners behind Homecoming Queen. The filly was officially disqualified after a post-race urine test revealed traces of the banned painkiller Propoxyphene. Al Zarooni later was given an eight-year ban for multiple doping offences.
Ervedya (foaled 13 April 2012) is a French Thoroughbred racehorse best known for her performances over 1600 metres (one mile). She showed top-class form as a juvenile in 2014 when she won her first three races including the Prix de Cabourg before finishing third in the Prix Morny and second in the Prix Marcel Boussac. In the following year she won the Prix Imprudence and then recorded Group One wins in the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches and the Coronation Stakes. Later that season she added another major victory when she took the Prix du Moulin.

Ravinella returned to England in June for the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. She started the 4/6 favourite but finished third beaten six lengths by the winner Magic of Life. In October she was dropped in class for the Group Three Prix du Rond-Point at Longchamp in which she was matched against colts and older horses.
521 Zanin mandated strict neutrality, asking the bishops to tell their priests "to avoid even the appearance of any action that ... could give an excuse for retribution against the mission residences. ... Do not let the whole community perish on account of one person's imprudence." Ernest P. Young, Ecclesiastical Colony (Oxford University Press 2013 ), p. 249 This was unpopular with those who advocated some form of passive or active resistance to the invader,Raymond Pong and Carlo Caldarola, "China: Religion in a Revolutionary Society", in Religions and Societies: Asia and the Middle East, edited by Carlo Caldarola (Berlin, 1982), p. 573.
The approach of Islands of Peace can be explained by the well-known sentence: Agir sans savoir est une imprudence, savoir sans agir est une lâcheté, which literally means: To act without knowledge is imprudent and to know and do nothing is cowardice. According to Islands of Peace, each human being has to be master of their own destiny and the one mainly responsible for their development. Islands of Peace wish to give the possibility to all people, from North as well as South, to be active in and responsible for the improvement of living conditions, depending on their own circumstances and capabilities.
The residents of Colleton County, elaborated and written about his "grievous circumstances" and gave it to the Lords Proprietors with order that they remove the law. It was enacted, that twenty lay-persons be constituted a corporation for the exercise of ecclesiastical jurisdiction, with full power to deprive ministers of their livings at pleasure, not for immorality only, but also for imprudence, or on account of unreasonable prejudices taken against them. He ended his term in 1709 and died 1 July 1712 in Berkley County SC. Johnson had, at least, two children: Robert, also a future Governor of South Carolina, and Ann (who married Gov. Thomas Broughton).
The race attracted a field of fifteen runners, ten trained in the United Kingdom, three in Ireland and two in France. The favourite was the Henry Cecil-trained Hot Snap, who had won the Nell Gwyn Stakes by two and a quarter lengths on 17 April. Sky Lantern, the runner-up in the Nell Gwyn Stakes had won the Moyglare Stud Stakes in Ireland in 2012. The French challenge was led by What A Name, who had won the Prix La Rochette and finished second in the Grand Critérium as a two-year-old before winning the Prix Imprudence on her three-year-old debut.
Minding made her three-year- old debut in the 203rd running of the 1000 Guineas on 1 May over Newmarket's Rowley Mile in which she was ridden by Moore and started the 11/10 favourite. Her fifteen opponents included Lumiere, Ballydoyle, Nathra, Alice Springs, Illuminate (Albany Stakes, Duchess of Cambridge Stakes), Jet Setting (Leopardstown 1,000 Guineas Trial) and Midweek (runner-up in the Prix Imprudence). Minding started quickly and settled behind the leaders before going to the front approaching the last quarter mile. Apple Tree is a chestnut horse standing 16.2 hands high with three white socks bred in France by Paul de Moussac. He was sired by Bikala, who won the Prix du Jockey Club in 1981 and the Prix Ganay in 1982. The best of his other offspring was probably Polytain whose wins included the Prix du Jockey Club. Apple Tree's dam Pomme Rose won the Prix Imprudence in 1971 and produced several other winners including the Prix du Conseil de Paris winner Noir Et Or. The colt was sent into training with André Fabre in France and was ridden in most of his races by Thierry Jarnet.
"The Theatres", The Pall Mall Gazette, 17 November 1879, p. 11 This was a financial success, and Toole followed it with Byron's comedy The Upper Crust, which remained in his repertoire for the rest of his career. After presenting a revival of Dion Boucicault's Dickens adaption, Dot, based on The Cricket on the Hearth, and Hester's Mystery, an early play by Arthur Wing Pinero, as well as what the theatre historians Mander and Mitchenson describe as "some now forgotten pieces", Toole went on tour. In his absence R. C. Carton presented a summer season in 1881 that included Imprudence, Pinero's first three-act comedy.
Its commander Friedrich Merz was shot and killed by Vukale Perov Stojanović from nearby Brajići, who subsequently became something of a local hero and is commemorated in Brajići's church. Merz's death was attributed by the press to his "own imprudence", as he had chosen to take a walk outside the fort while it was under siege from the insurgents. It was not captured and in 1875 it hosted a visit from the Emperor Franz Josef I of Austria. The current design of Fort Kosmač dates from 1909, when it was armed with 8 mm machine guns, 90 mm KM-04 artillery guns and 150 mm cannons.
This did not, however, prevent Hurrem from wielding powerful political influence. Since the empire lacked, until the reign of Ahmed I (1603–1617), any formal means of nominating a successor, successions usually involved the death of competing princes in order to avert civil unrest and rebellions. In attempting to avoid the execution of her sons, Hurrem used her influence to eliminate those who supported Mustafa's accession to the throne. A skilled commander of Suleiman's army, Ibrahim eventually fell from grace after an imprudence committed during a campaign against the Persian Safavid empire during the Ottoman–Safavid War (1532–55), when he awarded himself a title including the word "Sultan".
The case of Agustín Rueda's death was opened immediately after his death, but the prison officials accused of the crime were released on parole by intervention of the Justice Minister Landelino Lavilla Alsina. In 1988, the Provincial Court of Madrid ruled that the beating Agustin Rueda was a crime of reckless imprudence resulting in death, and not murder, despite medical expert disagreement on the cause of death. Eduardo José Cantos Rueda, director of the Carabanchel prison when the events took place, deputy director Antonio Rubio and five other officials were sentenced to 10 years in prison. Three other defendants were sentenced to eight, seven and six years, respectively.
The race attracted a field of eighteen runners, twelve trained in the United Kingdom, four in Ireland and two in France. Bennet] captivated by youth and beauty, and that appearance of good > humour, which youth and beauty generally give, had married a woman, whose > weak understanding, and illiberal mind, had, very early in the marriage, put > an end to any real affection for her. Respect, esteem, and confidence, had > vanished forever; and all of his views of domestic happiness were > overthrown. But Mr. Bennet was not of a disposition to seek 'comfort' for > the disappointment which his own imprudence had brought on, in any of those > pleasures which too often console the unfortunate of their folly or vice. Olivier Peslier rode Teppal on all three of her races in 2018. Before the start of the season she was bought privately for "big money" by the Qatari Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani. For her first run of the year the filly was sent to France to contest the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches over 1600 metres at Longchamp Racecourse on 13 May and started at odds of 12/1 in a fourteen- runner field. The Prix de la Grotte winner Musis Amica started favourite while the other fancied runners included Polydream (Prix du Calvados), Barkaa (Prix Vanteaux), Zonza (Prix du Bois), Coeur de Beaute (Prix Imprudence) and Wind Chimes (Prix Herod).
The harmony of the relationship ends with the death of Emilio (Daniel Elbittar), the eldest son of Crisanto, in a car accident caused by the imprudence of his best friend, Juanjo Montiel (Lambda García), the son of Paco (Miguel de Miguel). From that family tragedy, a war between families and wineries is established. Because Crisanto, taken by the pain and the rage for his loss, puts a demand that aggravates the sentence of unintentional homicide of Juan José, Juanjo lasts a year and a half to jail, and terminates his relationship with Aurora (Ana Belena) the daughter of Crisanto. But in the midst of hatred, love underlies: Juanjo's love for Aurora, who is now married with Roberto (Santiago Ramundo).
Ervedya is a bay mare with small white star bred in France by her owner Aga Khan IV. She was trained throughout her racing career by Jean- Claude Rouget and ridden in most of her races by Christophe Soumillon. She was from the first crop of foals sired by the Aga Khan's stallion Siyouni whose biggest win came in the 2009 running of the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère. His other offspring have included Siyoushake (Prix Perth), Spectre (Prix Imprudence), Volta (Prix de Sandringham), Bourree (Prix de Psyché), Finsbury Square (Prix de Meautry) and Trixia (Prix des Réservoirs). Ervedya's dam Elva, showed good racing ability, winning two minor races and finishing second in the Prix Vanteaux.
Among the best-known students of this school there were Joakim Vujić and Lukijan Mušicki, and the best-known teacher was Zaharije Orfelin. This school continued its work till 1789 when the Serbs from Novi Sad led by promises and reforms of the emperor Joseph II abolished this educational institution in order to make a grammar school for all religions in Novi Sad. For this noble purpose they gave the building and the whole inventory of the school. A fast crash of Joseph's reforms, showed all the haste and imprudence of this gesture, since instead of the state grammar school for all religions in the orthodox part of Novi Sad, a Roman Catholic school was founded.
She was ridden in most of her races by the former National Hunt jockey P. J. McDonald. She was from the fourth crop of foals sired by the Aga Khan's stallion Siyouni whose biggest win came in the 2009 running of the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère. His other offspring have included Ervedya, Le Brivido (Jersey Stakes), Siyoushake (Prix Perth), Spectre (Prix Imprudence), Volta (Prix de Sandringham), Bourree (Prix de Psyché), Finsbury Square (Prix de Meautry) and Trixia (Prix des Réservoirs). Her dam Recambe showed no discernable racing ability, finishing unplaced in her five races but was a half sister to the Newmarket Stakes and Hong Kong Derby winner Salford Mill (aka Helene Mascot).
The race attracted a field of nineteen runners, fifteen trained in the United Kingdom, two in Ireland and two in France. The favourite was the French filly Six Perfections who had been named European Champion Two-year old Filly in 2002 when she had won the Prix du Calvados and the Group One Prix Marcel Boussac. On her three-year-old debut she had won the Prix Imprudence at Maisons-Laffitte Racecourse in April. Ireland was represented by two runners from the Ballydoyle stable of Aidan O'Brien: Yesterday, who went on to win the Irish 1000 Guineas, and L'Ancresse, the runner-up in the Leopardstown 1,000 Guineas Trial Stakes.
Polemon (; lived 4th century BC), son of Andromenes the Stymphaean, was a Macedonian officer in the service of Alexander the Great (336-323 BC). The great intimacy between him and Philotas caused him to be suspected in 330 BC, together with his brothers Amyntas, Attalus, and Simmias, of participating in the treasonable designs imputed to Philotas: a charge to which Polemon had the imprudence to give countenance by taking to flight immediately on learning the arrest of Philotas. Amyntas, however, who remained, having successfully defended himself before the assembly of the army, obtained the pardon or acquittal of Polemon also. In the disputes that followed the death of Alexander (323 BC), Polemon, like his brother Attalus, distinguished himself as a warm partisan of Perdiccas.
Chitose Kobayashi, a 7-year-old Japanese girl, raised in the Sinuiju of Korea occupied by Japan during World War II, completely ignored what it meant to be at war, but unfortunately she soon discovered that it affected the soldiers so much that they fight on the mountain front like the civilians living far away from the battlefield. The World War II begins for her the day her father receives a letter that forced him to enlist in the army and leave for the front. Subsequently, a series of devastating events that mark her childhood occur. Miko, the younger sister of Chitose dies a victim of typhoid; Ohana, her Korean servant girl and friend is fired after committing imprudence and Japan surrenders to the allies.
A former employee who was among the survivors of the fire has claimed that the inward swinging doors were installed because it was good feng shui. In November 2001, twelve officials of the Quezon City government were charged before the Sandiganbayan for reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicides and multiple serious injuries. They were accused of allowing Ozone Disco to secure a certificate of annual inspection in 1995 "despite the inadequacy, insufficiency and impropriety of the documents submitted by the owners". In 2007, one of the twelve – the former city engineer and building official of Quezon City, Alfredo Macapugay – was discharged from criminal and civil liability after the Sandiganbayan concluded that he had no hand in the issuance of the necessary permits to Ozone Disco management.
Monade began her second season by beating Santa Rosa into second place to take the Prix Imprudence over 1400 metres at Maisons-Laffitte Racecourse in April. She was then stepped up in distance for the 2100 metre Prix Penelope later that month at Saint-Cloud Racecourse and won from Gaspesie with Santa Rosa in third. Monade was then sent to England and started at odds of 7/1 for the 184th running of the Oaks over one and a half miles at Epsom Downs Racecourse in which she was ridden by Yves Saint-Martin. The race produced an extremely close finish with Monade and the British-trained West Side Story racing side by side in the final furlong before crossing the line together.
Goodwin was one of the earliest clerical supporters of the democratic puritans, and then of the army against the Parliament. His Anti-Cavalierisme (1642) proclaims the need of war to suppress the party 'now hammering England to make an Ireland of it.' The doctrine of the divine right of kings he assailed in his Os Ossorianum, or a Bone for a Bishop, against Griffith Williams, bishop of Ossory. He also attacked the presbyterians as a persecuting party in his Θεομαχία, or the grand imprudence of ... fighting against God (1644). In May 1645 he was ejected from his living for refusing to administer indiscriminately in his parish the baptism and the Lord's Supper, setting up a covenanted community within his parish.
On 10 April 2019 Watch Me began her second campaign in the Listed Prix Imprudence over 1400 metres at Maisons-Laffitte Racecourse in which she was partnered by Christophe Soumillon and started the 5.8/1 third chpice in a field of seven. After being restrained in the early stages she made progress in the last 400 metres overtook the favourite Suphala in the closing stages and won by a short neck. The filly was ridden by Olivier Peslier when she was moved up to the highest class for the Group 1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches over 1600 metres at Longchamp Racecourse on 12 May. She appeared to be making good progress when she was hampered in the closing stages and came home sixth of the ten runners behind Castle Lady.
On April 5, Public Attorney's Office filed the criminal charges (reckless imprudence resulting in homicide under Article 365 of the Revised Penal Code and violation of Republic Act No. 9745 (Anti-Torture Act) and torture) against the Former Health Secretary Janette Garin and other former officials. However, Garin said that the charges have no basis and vowed to file a counter-charge against PAO. The families of four children — Aejay Bautista (11), Lenard Baldonado (10), Zandro Colite (11), and Angelica Pestilos (10), whose deaths had been linked to Dengvaxia — also filed the charges. On April 19, PAO filed criminal complaints before the Department of Justice (DOJ), including the incumbent Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, following the death of the 13-year-old girl after receiving Dengvaxia on November 17, 2017.
His pupil, however, made some progress, although slow, in > academical studies. Bakharoff was a "big, strong, close-coupled" bay horse with a small white star and a white sock on his left hind leg bred by Edward A. Cox Jr. who stabled his mares at the Claiborne Farm near Paris, Kentucky. He was sired by The Minstrel, a Canadian-bred horse who won The Derby in 1977. As a breeding stallion, The Minstrel was not a spectacular success, but he did sire many good winners includingthe Breeders' Cup Mile winner Opening Verse, the 1000 Guineas winner Musical Bliss and the Poule d'Essai des Poulains winner L'Emigrant as well as Palace Music, who won the Champion Stakes and sired Cigar. Bakharoff's dam, Qui Royalty, produced several other winners including the Lockinge Stakes winner Emperor Jones and was a direct descendant of the 1000 Guineas winner Imprudence.
To determine the prudency of the investment, the PSC applies the prudent investment test or standard, determining if the costs were reasonable at the time they were incurred, and given the circumstances and what was known or knowable at the time, are to be included in the firm's rates. It is commonly used as an oversight tool by the government to ensure that money invested into a project is being spent as it was intended so the utility may recoup some costs in construction through a recovery in rates, hence the title prudent investment rule. Regulators can consider cases of hidden imprudence, but are required to consider what was known or knowable at the time the decision was made by the PSC. The term Prudent Investment Rule, and the associated standards, have been established through a series of legal precedents.
John Vaughan, 3rd Earl of Carbery On his arrival in Jamaica, the 12-man Assembly of Jamaica voted Morgan an annual salary of £600 "for his good services to the country"; the move angered Carbery, who did not get on with Morgan. Carbery later complained of his deputy that he was "every day more convinced of ... [Morgan's] imprudence and unfitness to have anything to do with civil government". Carbery also wrote to the Secretary of State to bemoan Morgan's "drinking and gaming at the taverns" of Port Royal. Although Morgan had been ordered to eradicate piracy from Jamaican waters, he continued his friendly relations with many privateer captains, and invested in some of their ships. Zahedieh estimates that there were 1,200 privateers operating in the Caribbean at the time, and Port Royal was their preferred destination.
Six people involved with Westwood Entertainment were tried before the courts for criminal charges of "reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide and multiple serious injuries". On March 16, 2001, the president of Westwood Entertainment, Hermilo Ocampo, and the corporation's treasurer, Ramon Ng, were found guilty by a Quezon City trial court and sentenced to a four-year prison term, and fined 25 million pesos each. They and their co-accused (who were acquitted) were also ordered to indemnify the families of the deceased 150,000 pesos, and 100,000 pesos to the injured. The trial court concluded that Ocampo and Ng failed to provide fire exits and sprinklers inside the establishment, that the fire extinguishers they placed were defective, and that the lone exit was through a small door that swung inward and did not meet the standard set by the building code.
Ervedya began her second season in the Group Three Prix Imprudence over 1400 metres on very soft ground at Maisons-Laffitte Racecourse on 2 April and started the 11/8 favourite ahead of the Italian filly Fontenalice (Premio Dormello), Ameenah (Prix Miesque) and Queen Bee (Prix du Calvados). After racing towards the rear of the thirteen runner field she accelerated into the lead 200 metres from the finish and won "comfortably" by one and three quarter lengths from Ameenah. On 10 May Ervedya was stepped back up to Group One class for the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches over 1600 metres at Longchamp and started favourite against thirteen opponents. Ameenah, Queen Bee and Fontenalice were again in the field whilst the other runners included Mexican Gold (Prix de la Grotte) and Sainte Amarante the winner of the Listed Prix la Camargo.
He failed to play his part in the Lords in securing the arrest of Lord Mandeville, to whom on the contrary he declared that the king was very mischievously advised, and according to Edward Hyde, 1st Earl of Clarendon his imprudence was responsible for the betrayal of the king's plan. On the next day Digby advised the attempt to seize the five members in the city by force. In the same month Digby was ordered to appear in the Lords to answer a charge of high treason for a supposed armed attempt at Hull, but fled to the Dutch Republic, where he joined Queen consort Henrietta Maria of France, and on 26 February was impeached. Subsequently he visited Charles at York disguised as a Frenchman, but on the return voyage to the Dutch Republic he was captured and taken to Hull.
He was said, among other things, to have released a monk from his vows for a payment of 73 piastres, to have used liturgical books full of errors, to have visited families without a companion, and to have feasted in the house of a newly-wed couple. Although each of these incidents was relatively minor in itself, and could equally have been explained by mere imprudence rather than active corruption, their frequency was disturbing. For his part, Yohannan accused the missionaries of arrogance and mischief-making, and on his request the apostolic vicar of Baghdad, Fulgence de Sainte Marie, was sent to Mosul as apostolic vicar in 1796 to report on the situation.Bello, Congrégation de S. Hormisdas, 12–13 While his relations with the Vatican were cooling, Yohannan Hormizd also had to deal with the opposition of his cousin Ishoyahb, who continued to assert that he was the rightful patriarch.
On her three-year-old debut in early April Ma Biche won the Prix Imprudence on soft ground at Maisons-Laffitte, easily beating Dancing Display at odds of 2/5. Later that month she was sent back to England to contest the 1000 Guineas over the Rowley Mile course for which she was made 5/2 favourite against seventeen other fillies. Ma Biche was retrained in the early stages by Freddy Head before moving up to take the lead inside the final furlong and winning by one and a half lengths from Royal Heroine, Favoridge and Habibti. Royal Heroine was later disqualified for failing a post race drug test but went on to set a North American record for one mile on turf when winning the inaugural Breeders' Cup Mile, whilst Habibti ended the season as Britain's Horse of the Year after a string of outstanding performances over sprint distances.
General Mangin whose opinions on the war Lyautey blamed for Laverdure's actions Though they held him in high regard, Lyautey and Henrys blamed Laverdure for the defeat, with the latter describing the Lieutenant-Colonel's march from Khénifra as a "poorly prepared and poorly executed" "act of indiscipline". Laverdure was thought to have underestimated the ability of the Berbers to operate offensively in mountainous terrain against his column. His motive for the "inexcusable imprudence" of disobeying orders is thought to have been for personal glory and to bring the war to an early conclusion. One of the survivors of the battle, Jean Pichon, said that Laverdure was "haunted by the obsessive temptation" of defeating Hammou.. Lyautey stated, in a letter to Minister of War Alexandre Millerand, that Laverdure, had he not died on the field, would have deserved "the most severe punishment" at the hands of a military tribunal.
Burning to know the reasons for his and Darcy's attitude when they were face to face, and blinded by her prejudice against Darcy, Elizabeth is not alerted by the impropriety that Wickham demonstrated by using the first opportunity to address the subject himself; she does not realize the skill with which he manipulates her through his hesitation and reticence. On the contrary she looks forward to his sparkling conversation, not realising her imprudence in believing a man who is a tricky conversationalist. Relying totally on his good looks, she accepts without question, without even considering to check it, his version of the story. She sympathises fully with his misfortunes, when he obligingly describes the unfair treatment to which he was subjected: Darcy had, through pure jealousy, refused to respect the will of his late father who had promised him the enjoyment of ecclesiastical property belonging to the family, forcing him to enlist in the militia to live.
The mund is basically the leadership of an ancestor of a family, a family which is understood as all the people related by the blood to this ancestor, exerted over all and each of the family members. The ancestor's responsibility is more aimed at the family as a whole than towards each member individually. The mund manifests itself as a disciplinary power upon the members of the family; the tenant of the mund has to watch over the women's chastity and faithfulness to prevent the family honour from being harmed, in the first case if a bride is not a virgin at the time of her departure from the family, in the second, if sons are born that are not of the common blood. It also has to control the male family members who may cast shame on the family honour, who may not serve the family, or who may endanger the whole family by their imprudence (for example by drawing the family into a feud).
Mass immigration to Scotland saw the emergence of sectarian tensions. In 1923, the Church of Scotland produced a highly controversial (and since repudiated) report, entitled The Menace of the Irish Race to our Scottish Nationality, accusing the largely immigrant Catholic population of subverting Presbyterian values and of causing drunkenness, crime, and financial imprudence. John White, one of the leading figures in the Church of Scotland at the time, called for a "racially pure" Scotland, declaring "Today there is a movement throughout the world towards the rejection of non-native constituents and the crystallization of national life from native elements."Duncan B. Forrester "Ecclesia Scoticana – Established, Free, or National?" Theology March/April 1999, 80–89 Such officially hostile attitudes started to wane considerably from the 1930s and 1940s onwards, especially when the established church leaders learned of what was happening in eugenics- conscious Nazi Germany and of the dangers of a national or folk-church.
The office traces its origins to that of secretarius intimus, created by Pope Leo X in the early 16th century to handle correspondence with the diplomatic missions of the Holy See, which were just beginning to become permanent postings instead of missions sent on particular occasions. At this stage the secretary was a fairly minor functionary, the Vatican administration being led by the Cardinal Nephew, the Pope's confidant usually taken from his family. The imprudence of Pope Julius III in entrusting the office of Cardinal Nephew to his alleged lover Innocenzo Ciocchi Del Monte, a teenaged, virtually illiterate street urchin whom his brother had adopted a few years earlier, led to an upgrading of the Secretary's job, as the incumbent had to take over the duties the Cardinal Nephew was unfit for. By the time of Pope Innocent X the Secretary of State was always himself a Cardinal, and Pope Innocent XII abolished the office of Cardinal Nephew in 1692.
The law which prescribed the mode of government for the Territory, as then constituted, plainly provided that the people should elect by popular choice a house of representatives; the members of this house should then meet, at such time as the governor should appoint, select the names of eighteen persons whom they deemed qualified for the office of councilmen and forward the whole list of those so nominated to the President of the United States. Upon receiving such a list of nominations, it was the duty of the President to appoint nine of the same to be members of the council. Whether Crittenden's error was due to ignorance or imprudence is uncertain. But, at all events, owing to the good sense and prudent statesmanship of Governor Miller, Congress was induced to pass a special Act, which the President approved April 21, 1820, making the election of the councilmen, in the manner authorized by Crittenden, legal after the fact in April after the election in November.
The Supreme Court of Mississippi ruled that the state PSC could consider the prudence of the Grand Gulf costs allocated to a public utility since FERC had never ruled on the prudency of these costs. The U.S. Supreme Court disagreed, stating that FERC orders must be given preemptive effect regardless of whether a particular matter had been litigated and decided by FERC. Applying the Nantahala and Mississippi Power holdings to the Louisiana case, the Court noted that the PSC order impermissibly had the effect of trapping generation costs with the public utility by excluding them from recovery in rates. Although the Entergy System Operating Agreement differed from the tariffs in the Nantahala and Mississippi Power cases in that it left the classification of reserve generating units to an operating committee, this delegated discretion did not allow the PSC room for a finding of imprudence where a FERC mandated cost allocation would not.
For the next twenty five years the Hats did dominate government, with disastrous results where the country was plunged into two costly and ill-advised wars. At the Riksdag in 1765 the Caps returned to government and they struck at once at the weak point of their opponents by ordering a budget report to be made, and it was speedily found that the whole financial system of the Hats had been based upon reckless imprudence and the wilful misrepresentation and that the only fruit of their long rule was an enormous addition to the national debt and a depreciation of the note circulation to one third of its face value. This revelation led to an all-round retrenchment, carried into effect with a drastic thoroughness which has earned for this parliament the name of the "Reduction Riksdag". The Caps succeeded in reducing the national debt, half of which was transferred from the pockets of the rich to the empty exchequer, and establishing some sort of equilibrium between revenue and expenditure.
Francesco Schettino (born 1960 in Meta, Naples), who had worked for Costa Cruises for 11 years, and First Officer Ciro Ambrosio were arrested. The captain was detained on suspicion of manslaughter and for violations of the Italian Penal Code and Code of Navigation on three specifications—of his having caused the shipwreck "owing to ... imprudence, negligence and incompetence" resulting in deaths; having abandoned about 300 people "unable to fend for themselves"; and "not having been the last to leave" a shipwreck. They were questioned on 14 January. At the validation hearing of 17 January 2012, the Court of Grosseto charged Schettino and Ambrosio with the results from the records of investigation compiled immediately after the event, including the first report of the coast guard of Porto Santo Stefano of 14 January 2012, the summary testimonial information given by the members of the ship's crew, the chronology of events of the Harbour Office of the Port of Livorno, the AIS recording on record, and the PG Annotation of the Harbour Office of the Port of Livorno.
Erle also had business dealings with the Lord Protector, from whom in 1548 he purchased a twenty-one-year lease on property in Ottery St Mary, Devon, including "the Warden's House" of the dissolved college there. Following the death of his wife in 1548, and released from her restraining influence, Thomas Parr's "imprudence and recklessness now became increasingly manifest", and Erle became caught up in his master's ambitious scheme of personal aggrandisement, which involved seizing control of his nephew the king. In 1548 Thomas Seymour offered to Princess Mary, King Edward VI's eldest sister, the services of Erle to provide lessons on the virginal, and shortly afterwards Erle passed her a compromising letter from Thomas Seymour, which eventually was discovered and assisted in providing evidence of the latter's plot in 1549 against the young king, for which he was executed soon after. Erle's role in the conspiracy was wholly innocent and he suffered no penalty; however, he had lost his patron and was absent from court circles for another two years.
