The nEDM experiment was a room temperature neutron EDM experiment which ran at ILL, using ultra-cold neutrons from the ILL reactor. Boris Lehman (born 3 March 1944, Lausanne), is a Belgian author-filmmaker of experimental cinema. Boris Lehman Lehman initially studied piano, but in the early 1960s became interested in photography and cinema. In 1966, after graduating in Film Studies from the Institut National Supérieur des Arts du spectacle, Brussels, he became a film enthusiast and critic, contributing reviews to weekly publications and magazines. He began making films between 1965 and 1983 when working for Club Antonin Artaud, a readjustment day centre for the mentally ill, using cinema as a therapeutic tool with patients.

The abbey, dedicated to Saint Maurice, was founded in 667 by Saint Deodatus of Nevers on the island of Novientum in the River Ill, using relics of Saint Maurice which Deodatus had obtained from St. Maurice's Abbey. Thanks to the support of Adalrich, Duke of Alsace, father of Saint Odilia, the monastery flourished. It was destroyed by the Swedes during the Thirty Years' War, and was not rebuilt until the early 18th century. Much of the Baroque abbey church, now prominent in its own right as a World Heritage Site, was built by the Austrian architect Peter Thumb.

Marcus Tullius Cicero, in particular, was the first known person to create a questionnaire for the mentally ill using biographical information to determine the best course of psychological treatment and care. Some of the first known psychiatric care centers were constructed in the Middle East during the 8th century. The medieval Muslim physicians and their attendants relied on clinical observations for diagnosis and treatment. In 13th century medieval Europe, psychiatric hospitals were built to house the mentally ill, but there were not any nurses to care for them and treatment was rarely provided.
