His subsequent Chairmanship of the Scottish Film Council lasted for six years and following upon that body’s initiative to create a new, broadly-based organisation for the Scottish screen industries, comprising the Film Archive, Media Education, Exhibition, Screen Locations and Production Fund; he was appointed Chairman of the new organisation named Scottish Screen. Having chaired the Interim Board which supervised the transition and consolidation, he remained as chairman for a further year before stepping down in 1998, after twelve years of involvement with Scotland's film making bodies.

On 22 May 1893 Swamiji wrote from Khetri "Believe me that I love you and respect your like a father and that my gratitude towards you and your family is surely unbounded. Diwanji Saheb, I am the same frolicsome, mischievous but I assure you the innocent boy, you found me at Junagadh and my love for your noble self is the same or increased a hundredfold because I have had a mental comparison between yourself and the Diwans of dearly all the states in the Dakshin and the Lord be my witness how my tongue was fluent in your praise ( although I know that my power are quite inadequate to estimate your noble qualities) in every southern state". Swamiji continued to guide him in regards of the state that helped him to keep good relations with Nawab of Junagadh and the British Government. Swamiji wrote from Poona on 15 June 1892 "Perhaps by this time every hitch has been removed from your way in Junagadh, at least I hope so".

The lion in Bom-Banimals, the 2016 musical Bom-Banimals, in May 2016, was an animal themed fantasia, again taking place throughout the building. An audience of six was invited to move from room to room, encountering a series of musical animals (Eliza Skelton, Foz Foster, Kate Daisy Grant, Raven Kaliana, Jo McDonagh, Sebas Contreras, Kate Vaughan, and Tom Walker). Rachel Blackman described the experience in Fringe Review: 'We barely manage to squeeze into each of the modest spaces with the performers who gradually accumulate and eventually outnumber us. In each room we meet a different animal, all of whom must sacrifice a beloved item in order to find their authentic voice....if there is a message to be had, it is a light one, but touches on the notion that if we love someone, giving a piece of ourselves is a risk, but can pay off one hundredfold....And a plea maybe for the ongoing existence of this kind of intimate, real time, unrepeatable experience, where the value to each of us is so much more rich, raw and indescribable than the price of a ticket.

Unlike the Kimi, Yosano called for Japanese women to "unify in loyalty" for the "cause of the Emperor's forces". The American scholar Steven Robson noted that unlike the Kimi, which like the rest of Yosano's early poetry was extremely innovative, Citizens of Japan is cliche- ridden as Yosano used well-known phrases like "a samurai's honor" taken straight from the ultra-nationalist press without developing a vocabulary of her own.Steve Rabson "Yosano Akiko on War: To Give One's Life or Not: A Question of Which War" pages 45-74 from The Journal of the Association of Teachers of Japanese, Volume 25, Issue 1, April 1991 page 59.
