Air Jamaica Ltd had set up a pension trust for the benefit of its employees, funded by contributions from its employees' salaries. When the company was privatised, J$400 million was left over in the pension fund. Clause 4 of the pension deed provided that ‘No moneys which at any time have been contributed by the Company under the terms hereof shall in any circumstances be repayable to the Company’. As reported by the Annales regni Francorum of 808 Ain D, Danish king Gudfred (also Godofrid, Gøttrik) had received plenty of tribute from Reric in the years before, but in 808 "destroyed" the emporium and took with him "the merchants hereof". The term "neutral nations" was defined as those nations whose combat forces did not participate in the hostilities in Korea. The United Nations Command chose Switzerland and Sweden, while the Korean People's Army and Chinese People's Volunteers chose Czechoslovakia and Poland.

The fertilizer and pesticide industries have much in common in terms of clientele, distribution channels, system of application in farmers' fields and technical supervision by the same farm management technicians under the government's food production program. In view hereof, the government abolished the FIA and created the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority on 30 May 1977 by virtue of P.D. 1144. The FPA is mandated to assure adequate supplies of fertilizer and pesticide at reasonable prices; rationalize the manufacture and marketing of fertilizer; protect the public from the risks inherent in the use of pesticides; and educate the agricultural sector in the use of these inputs. It was attached to the Department of Agriculture until President Benigno C. Aquino, on May 5, 2014, issued Executive Order No. 165 transferring the FPA and the three other agencies, the NIA, the PCA and the NFA, to the Office of the President of the Philippines.

The details of the Treaty were agreed on 22 July 1706, and separate Acts of Union were then passed by the parliaments of England and Scotland to put the agreed Articles into effect.

In the early twentieth century, the Canadian government had an unofficial policy of restricting immigration by black people. The huge influx of immigrants from Europe and the United States in the period before World War I included few black people, as most immigrants were coming from Eastern and Southern Europe. Clifford Sifton's 1910 immigration campaign had not anticipated that black Oklahomans and other black farmers from the Southern United States would apply to homestead in Amber Valley, Alberta and other parts of Canada. However, Canada acted to restrict immigration by black persons, a policy that was formalised in 1911 by Prime Minister Wilfrid Laurier: > His excellency in Council, in virtue of the provisions of Sub-section (c) of > Section 38 of the Immigration Act, is pleased to Order and it is hereby > Ordered as follows: For a period of one year from and after the date hereof > the landing in Canada shall be and the same is prohibited of any immigrants > belonging to the Negro race, which race is deemed unsuitable to the climate > and requirements of Canada.

The respondent, initially the plaintiff, had sold and caused to be transferred certain fixed property to the first appellant, which had been the first defendant, and was a close corporation. The second appellant (the second defendant) was one of the members of the first defendant. The plaintiff instituted an action in a Local Division claiming re-transfer. The claim was upheld on the ground that the plaintiff had subsequently cancelled the sale. The agreement of sale, which was entered into in April 1991, provided for a purchase price of R120,000, payable as to R70,000 "on signature hereof," and as to the balance of R50,000 at a rate of R500 per month. Although the plaintiff's claim was initially based on an alleged misrepresentation by the second defendant, the plaintiff had, during the course of the trial, several times amended her particulars of claim, eventually claiming re-transfer only on the following bases: # that the first defendant had repudiated the contract by refusing to pay the amount of R70,000, and that the plaintiff had accepted such repudiation;Para 7.7 of the plaintiff's particulars of claim, as amended in terms of notice of motion dated May 6, 1993.
