The community is located within the Westerwald, between Montabaur and Limburg an der Lahn and 25 km away from Koblenz. It is associated to the Verbandsgemeinde of Wallmerod an association of municipalities having its seat in the same-named town.

The congregation of the Brothers of the Christian Schools was founded by Jean- Baptiste de La Salle in the 17th century. The Collegio S. Giuseppe was founded in 1850 as the "Ecole Française", having its seat in Palazzo Poli at the Trevi Fountain. This building was built between 1908 and 1910, on the impulse of the City Council of Bromberg, supported financially by the "Bromberg Shipping & Towing Company SA" (). The firm was very rich and influential in the city business, thanks to the river shipping traffic on Brda and Vistula rivers, having its seat in the LLoyd Palace at Grodzka Street 17. Gymnasium on a 1914 postcard Carl Meyer, a famous local architect, was asked to design the building. As usual at this time, he delegated the initial project to one of his collaborators, the architect Otto Brech.

Under the Civil Aviation Act and as per the meaning of article 62, paragraph 3 of the Law on Commerce, the state-owned enterprise "Bulgarian Air Traffic Services Authority" (BULATSA) is a legal entity having its seat in Sofia and performing state functions for the provision of air navigation services in the controlled civil airspace of the Republic of Bulgaria, in line with the international agreements in the field of civil aviation signed and ratified by the Republic of Bulgaria. Pursuant to article 53, paragraph. 2 of the Civil Aviation Act, the scope of BULATSA's activities encompasses all aircraft departing from and arriving at civil airports and overflying the controlled civil airspace of the Republic of Bulgaria. BULATSA consists of central headquarters and air traffic control centres.

According to the Italian constitution of 1802, sovereignty resided in three electoral colleges of three to two hundred members: the College of Owners (il Collegio dei possidenti), the College of Scholars (il Collegio dei dotti), and the College of Traders (il Collegio dei mercanti), the first having its seat in Milan, the second in Bologna, and the third in Brescia.
