He collected an eighth winners' medal following the 3-12 to 1-16 victory. On 1 December 2013, Rossiter was again at full-back when Oulart-the Ballagh suffered an 0-11 to 0-08 defeat by Mount Leinster Rangers in a fourth successive Leinster final. Rossiter lined out in an 11th Wexford Senior Championship final on 25 October 2015. He "dominated" in front of goal as a full-back and collected a ninth winners' medal following the 2-15 to 0-13 defeat of St. Martin's.

He was described as having an "inspirational game" at full-back and collected a seventh winners' medal following the 2-12 to 0-13 victory. On 9 December 2012, Rossiter was again at full-back when Oulart-the Ballagh suffered a 1-12 to 0-11 defeat by Kilcormac/Killoughey in the Leinster final.

During the Rome Olympics held in Rome in 1960, Singh carried out two hat tricks in the matches against Denmark and the Netherlands. Brian James Sarre (born 27 December 1942) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Subiaco in the WANFL during the 1960s. He is the full-back in Subiaco's official 'Team of the Century'. Sarre, originally from Albany, was eighteen when he made his Subiaco debut in 1960. He spent the rest of the decade as the club's full-back, although occasionally he would venture forward or play in the ruck.
O'Shea joined the Kerry minor team in 1994. He was full back on the team that beat Clare to win the Munster championship for the first time since 1990.He was again full back as Kerry faced Galway in the All-Ireland final. A 0-16 to 1-07 gave Kerry the title and an All-Ireland medal for O'Shea. He moved on to the Under 21 team in 1995 and had more success.

Nick Ross made his League debut on 8 September 1888, playing as a fullback, at Anfield, the then home of Everton. The home team defeated the visitors, Accrington 2–1. Nick Ross scored his debut League goal on 15 September 1888, playing at full-back, at Anfield when the visitors were Notts County. The home team defeated the visitors 2–1 with Nick Ross scoring the second of Everton' two goals.
He was switched to full-back for the All-Ireland final against Kilkenny on 6 September 2009. Maher ended on the losing side following a 2-22 to 0-23 defeat. He ended the season by being named in the full-back position on the All-Star team. On 5 September 2010, Maher was selected at left wing-back when Tipperary qualified to play Kilkenny in a second successive All-Ireland final.
He was named full back on the 1998 All-Star team and awarded Footballer of the Year by the Ulster GAA Writers Association. Lockhart won another National League medal in 2000, playing in his more familiar position in the full back line. Breen first played for Tipperary as a member of the minor team during the 2011 Munster Championship. He was an unused substitute throughout the year. On 2 May 2012, Breen made his first appearance for the team when he lined out at full-back in a 6-21 to 0-11 defeat of Kerry. He was again selected at full-back when Tipperary faced Clare in the Munster final on 15 July 2012.
Sandy Lang made his League debut on 8 September 1888, playing at full-back, at Deepdale, the home of Preston North End. The latter defeated Burnley 5–2. Sandy Lang missed just one of the 22 League matches played by Burnley in season 1888–89. As a full-back he played in a Burnley defence that kept four clean sheets and restricted the opposition to one-League-goal-in-a-match on three separate occasions.

Bassett was not the fastest full back, but had a great positional sense on the field which ensured he was always close to the action.
Ivan Tomečak (; born 7 December 1989) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays for Croatian club HNK Rijeka. He is usually deployed as a right full-back, but is often used as a right winger or left full-back. Tomečak started his senior football career at Lokomotiva, making 47 league appearances throughout his 18-months loan spell at Dinamo Zagreb feeder team. In January 2009 he returned from the loan to Dinamo Zagreb.
Although playing with a suspect knee for his last few seasons at Richmond, Swift always gave his best; and, considering his knee problems, he had a surprising turn of speed.
