This difference may in some rare cases lead to unresolved externals when porting such code to 64 bits. For example, Fortran code can use 'alias' to link against a C method by name as follows: SUBROUTINE f() !DEC$ ATTRIBUTES C, ALIAS:'_f' :: f END SUBROUTINE This will compile and link fine under 32 bits, but generate an unresolved external `_f` under 64 bits. One workaround for this is not to use 'alias' at all (in which the method names typically need to be capitalized in C and Fortran).

The students built a zendo and meeting hall on a parcel of Nowick's land, with an agreement specifying that the corporation and buildings belonged to the students and that the land would be turned over to them after fifteen years. A Rinzai Zen-style practice was established, though Nowick did not practice many of the externals of Japanese Zen. There were no chants, robes, Buddhist names, lectures, precepts, and such.
In the Roman Catholic Church, candles are at times placed before a statue of Jesus, of the Blessed Virgin Mary, or of some other saint. Often, in older or traditional churches, this will be before a bye-altar. A votive candle signifies literally that the lighting is done in fulfillment of a vow (Latin, votum), although in most cases the intention is merely to give honor and to seek help from the saint before whose images the candle is lit.Sullivan, John F., The Externals of the Catholic Church, P.J. Kenedy & Sons, 1917. Reprint.
In the 1990s The GUIDON editorial team began using modern computer technology to create its newspapers and began splitting them into two sections. During this time the paper renamed its Research Department to the "Inquiry Team" and created an outreach program called Pamaskong Handog. The newspaper also expanded to include the Operations, Human Resources, and Marketing positions and increased its involvement in University legislation, proposing amendments to the Campus Journalism Act of 1991. In 2003 the newspaper renamed its Operations position to Externals and created the Human Resources Training and Development Team.
The current organizational structure consists of two elected executives and a full-time executive director, working out of an office in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The two executive positions may be held by any student who is a member. The Board of Directors of the NBSA consists, in general, of the Vice-President Externals of member student unions (or VP Education in the case of the St. Thomas University Students' Union) as the voting members and the associated Presidents as observers. All student members are permitted to attend Board meetings and/or participate on committees.
Graphics Environment for Multimedia (GEM) is a set of externals (libraries) that provide OpenGL graphics functionality to Pure Data, a graphical programming language for real-time audio processing. It is free under the GNU General Public License (GPL). Originally written by Mark Danks of Sony Computer Entertainment, it is now maintained by Johannes Zmölnig of the Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics. It was once (but is no longer) partly supported by a grant from the Intel Research Council for The Global Visual Music project of Vibeke Sorensen, Miller Puckette and Rand Steiger.
It became more and more difficult to govern an empire with institutions originally designed to administer a city-state. Certain powerful leaders (especially Marius, Sulla, and Caesar) tried to create a state in which they had autocratic power but also preserved the externals of the old ways. They were opposed by the conservatives (called the optimates by classical historians, though they themselves preferred the title boni or "good men"). The obtuse or simply ignorant resistance of these reactionaries, who are all (except for Cato) presented as degenerate or self-serving, made the creation of an autocracy necessary.
St. Andrew's Church in Whitminster, Gloucestershire is a village church constructed from Cotswold stone. The Church of St. Andrew's, Whitminster The church site dates from 1086, although no part of the surviving fabric is visibly older than the 14th century. It was enlarged in 1842 to include a north aisle, designed by Bristol architect Thomas Foster, the tower was restored in 1844 and various other areas in 1884 by Sir A.W. Blomfeld, with the externals remaining mostly unchanged from that date. It currently has a peel of 6 bells, the earliest of which dates from 1634.
In industrial and organizational psychology, it has been found that internals are more likely to take positive action to change their jobs (rather than merely talk about occupational change) than externals.. Locus of control relates to a wide variety of work variables, with work- specific measures relating more strongly than general measures. In Educational setting, some research has shown that students who were intrinsically motivated had processed reading material more deeply and had better academic performance than students with extrinsic motivation.Vansteenkiste, M., Simons, J., Lens, W., Soenens, B., Matos, L., & Lacante, M. (2004). Less is sometimes more: Goal content matters.
Students of Advanced Botany undertake scientific tours in the company of their teachers for the identification and collection of botanical specimens. Swamy was deeply interested in history and the fine arts such as music, painting and architecture. Thus, as an artist and a scientist, he could explore and explain the world of botany in the light of a wider understanding. He describes the externals of a specimen with vivid precision and technical detail but his account of the genus and species is only a prelude to a livelier non-technical account of its appearance, its locations and practical uses.
The CoCo Research Centre was launched in 2004 by professors Peter Goodyear and Peter Reimann. Goodyear was previously Professor of Educational Research at the University of Lancaster and Reimann was previously Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Heidelberg. The CoCo Research Centre grew from 5 to 40 team members since its inception until its amalgamation with the Sciences and Technologies of Learning research network in 2016 to form the Centre for Research on Computer Supported Learning and Cognition. Prior to its amalgamation, the CoCo Research Centre included approximately 70 members including affiliates and externals.
When Conrad's The Mirror of the Sea was published in 1906 to critical acclaim, he wrote to his French translator: "The critics have been vigorously swinging the censer to me.... Behind the concert of flattery, I can hear something like a whisper: 'Keep to the open sea! Don't land!' They want to banish me to the middle of the ocean." Writing to his friend Richard Curle, Conrad remarked that "the public mind fastens on externals" such as his "sea life", oblivious to how authors transform their material "from particular to general, and appeal to universal emotions by the temperamental handling of personal experience".
Rhodesian "Crocs" were usually armed with a FN MAG-58 7.62mm Light Machine Gun (LMG), sometimes installed on a locally produced one-man MG armoured turret to protect the gunner. Vehicles assigned to convoy escorting duties ('E-type') had a Browning M1919A4 7.62mm medium machine gun mounted on an open-topped, cylinder-shaped turret (dubbed 'the dustbin') whilst those employed on 'externals' received a tall, square-shaped and fully enclosed MAG turret mounted on the roof over the commander's seat.Locke & Cooke, Fighting Vehicles and Weapons of Rhodesia 1965-80 (1995), p. 45. The Zimbabwean vehicles after 1980 sported pintle-mounted Soviet-made 12.7mm and 14.5mm Heavy Machine Guns (HMG) instead.
The MAP75 TCV was employed late in the war by the elite units of the Rhodesian Security Forces – the Rhodesian African Rifles (RAR), the Rhodesian Light Infantry (RLI),Grant & Dennis, Rhodesian Light Infantryman 1961–80 (2015), pp. 24-25 and the Rhodesian SAS – on their cross-border covert raids ('externals') against ZIPRA and ZANLA guerrilla bases in the neighboring Countries,Locke & Cooke, Fighting Vehicles and Weapons of Rhodesia 1965-80 (1995), p. 58. such as the September 1979 raid on the ZANLA's New Chimoio base in Mozambique (Operation "Miracle").Touchard, Guerre dans le bush! Les blindés de l'Armée rhodésienne au combat (1964-1979), pp. 65; 73.
An NSSA ASBR generates this LSA, and an NSSA ABR router translates it into type 5 LSA which gets propagated into the OSPF domain. A newly acquired subsidiary is one example of where it might be suitable for an area to be simultaneously not-so-stubby and totally stubby if the practical place to put an ASBR is on the edge of a totally stubby area. In such a case, the ASBR does send externals into the totally stubby area, and they are available to OSPF speakers within that area. In Cisco's implementation, the external routes can be summarized before injecting them into the totally stubby area.
" In the homily of the Mass celebrated after his election as Superior General, Nicolás emphasized service, based on the scriptural reading for that day, the words of St. Ignatius of Loyola, and Benedict XVI's teaching on God is love. He stated: "The more we become as servants, the more pleased God is." Delving further into the scriptural passage and after relating an anecdote of experiences with the poor in Asia, he related poverty with having God as the only source of strength, pointing out that the Jesuit's strength is not in externals (power, media, etc.) nor in internal fortitude (research). "The poor only have God in whom to find strength.
HyperCard can be extended significantly through the use of external command (XCMD) and external function (XFCN) modules. These are code libraries packaged in a resource fork that integrate into either the system generally or the HyperTalk language specifically; this is an early example of the plug-in concept. Unlike conventional plug-ins, these do not require separate installation before they are available for use; they can be included in a stack, where they are directly available to scripts in that stack. During HyperCard's peak popularity in the late 1980s, a whole ecosystem of vendors offered thousands of these externals such as HyperTalk compilers, graphing systems, database access, Internet connectivity, and animation.
She also understood that 50% of the actors job is internal (imagination, emotion, action, will) and 50% is externals (characterization, way of walking, voice, fencing, sports). To find what works for the character, the actors must study the circumstances of the text and make their choices based on what one gets from the material. For instance, if a character talks about horse riding, one needs to know something about horse riding as an actor, otherwise one will be faking. More importantly, one must study the values of different people to understand what situations would have meant to people, when those situations might mean nothing in the actor's own culture.
Another country to produce clandestine copies of the UR-416 in the 1970s was Rhodesia. In October 1976 the Rhodesian Army's special counter-insurgency unit, the Selous Scouts, decided to build two armoured vehicles of this type for their cross-border covert raids ('externals') on ZANLA guerrilla bases in neighbouring Mozambique. Plans were drawn by the Rhodesian Corps of Engineers' (RhCE) drawing office from a commercial brochure and the vehicles were assembled in just three weeks at the Army Workshops of Inkomo Garrison by a team of skilled Scouts using South African Iscor 6mm ballistic steel plates.Locke & Cooke, Fighting Vehicles and Weapons of Rhodesia 1965-80 (1995), p. 93.
SuperCard is a high-level development environment that runs on Macintosh computers, under OS 8 and 9, and OS X. It is inspired by HyperCard, but includes a richer language, a full GUI toolkit, and native color (as opposed to HyperCard's Apple- or third-party-supplied add-ons). The programming language used by SuperCard is called SuperTalk, and is largely based on HyperTalk, the language in HyperCard. In addition to the core language, SuperTalk can call out to OSA-based scripting languages such as AppleScript, and shell commands. The language can be extended with so-called externals, chunks of compiled code that appear like native routines.
" Variety wrote that the changes from the novel to the film were "mostly for the worst" and that there was "very little to say about the final cut, since film has so little to say itself.""Film Reviews: The Ski Bum". Variety. January 20, 1971. 13. Jeanne Miller of The San Francisco Examiner called the film "an earnest, thoughtful, but ultimately unsuccessful attempt to portray the anguish of its existential hero, a primitive drifter hopelessly trapped in the externals of a materialistic society ... [the filmmakers] seem to view the corporate greed of this affluent society as an insidious poison that inevitably affects everyone it touches.
In April 1924 Scheffauer wrote about Thomas Mann's "crisp, skeptic, [and] collected mind ... a mind almost pedantic in its precision of expression, its tortuous searching for the exact word, the luminous phrase. Mann, who might in his externals pass for an English M.P. or a youngish major ...""A Panorama of German Books by Herman George Scheffauer", in: The Living Age, July 12, 1924, pp. 72-75. His wife had also interviewed him. He had by then already translated Thomas Mann's Herr und Hund which had appeared in The Freeman (1922–23) in six instalments, it was then published as a book Bashan and I. Translated by H. G. Scheffauer.

Cannonball and the other New Mutants leave the X-Men's supervisionNew Mutants #100 and join forces with Cable to become the hard- edged X-Force, and is appointed the team's second-in-command and field leader.X-Force #1 Cannonball is impaled and killed during a clash with the Brotherhood of Mutants,X-Force #7 (February 1992) but heals only a few minutes later.X-Force #9 (April 1992) Cable reveals himself to be from a dystopian future ruled by Apocalypse and explains that he believes Cannonball to be an External, a particularly rare type of mutant who is virtually immortal. Many other Externals, such as Saul and Gideon, also come to believe Sam is one of them.
Your contributions, in the form of stories, photographs, "memorabilia" and suggestions will always be welcome. :For those of us who are members of A.T.O.E., membership in T.H.S. should entail no conflict of interest -- simply an extension of a special enthusiasm. MARQUEE plans to limit its concern with theatre organs to their consoles, grilles, players and presentation -- all externals in a manner of speaking - and at the same time hopes THEATRE ORGAN BOMBARDE will continue with its wonderful "Acre of Seats in a Palace of Splendor" feature. And subscribers to the CONSOLE need have no fear of cross-purposes in the pages of MARQUEE; there is enough material on theatres to keep everybody fascinated for years to come.
They became known as the "supremists" or "externals" since they were based outside of Macedonia. The supremists resorted to terrorism against the Ottomans in the hope of provoking a war and thus Bulgarian annexation of Macedonia. For a time in the late 1890s IMARO leaders managed to gain control of the Supreme Committee but it soon split into two factions: one loyal to the IMARO and one led by some officers close to the Bulgarian prince. The second one staged an ill-fated uprising in Eastern Macedonia in 1902, where they were opposed militarily by local IMARO bands led by Yane Sandanski and Hristo Chernopeev, who were later to become the leaders of the IMARO left wing.
Students of advanced botany undertake scientific tours in the company of their teachers for the identification and collection of botanical specimens. Swamy was a gifted man of letters with an observant eye, a sense of humour and, at the same time, a deep interest in history and the fine arts such as music, painting and architecture. Thus, as an artist and a scientist, he could explore and explain the world of botany in the light of a wider understanding. The variable cam timing may be disconnected altogether. It may be necessary to reduce the size of the oil restrictors in the block and machine a full face oil pump drive collar onto the crank, (to prevent it shattering at high RPM), with the use of a twin cam oil pump. The fitment of a twin cam head from any of these engines onto a standard compression RB30E bottom end gives a forced induction friendly compression ratio (around 8.2:1), for a mild to moderately modified street turbo engine, making the conversion popular amongst those who would otherwise convert their RB30E to a high compression RB30ET using original ET bolt on externals.
The Brodericks were patrons to many younger people, and their 1906 home in the Denny-Blaine neighborhood was often the scene of parties at which "High school and university students, as well as personnel of the armed forces, have enjoyed classical music or boogie-woogie in the Brodericks' music room, walked alone, in pairs, or groups over the landscaped grounds…"Edgar Stewart, Washington: Northwest Frontier, quoted by Becker. Broderick wrote in one of his memoirs: > … [L]ife there was influenced by the great Greek philosopher Epictetus. … > Exponent of "everything in its place", he advocated the practice of the > inner life, utterly divorced from externals. … We determined that No. 1717 > was to be a haven untouched by the tedium of the materialistic side of life.
David Hilliard wrote in Victorian Studies that an "Anglo-Catholic underworld" produced groups "whose members delighted in religious ceremonial and the picturesque neo-Gothic externals of monastic life." Hilliard wrote that those groups did not enforce strict criteria for entry and "it is likely that they were especially attractive to homosexually inclined young men who felt themselves drawn to the male environment of a monastic community and the dramatic side of religion." An example cited by Hilliard was an incident, published on 17 September 1864 in the Norfolk News, that occurred at Elm Hill Priory in which a monk, Brother Augustine, wrote a love letter to a boy, an apprentice printer, who sang in the choir. The allegations horrified Norwich.
They also believe that every action has its consequence, which makes them accept the fact that things happen and it depends on them if they want to have control over it or not. Externals attribute outcomes of events to external circumstances. People with an external locus of control tend to believe that the things which happen in their lives are out of their control, and even that their own actions are a result of external factors, such as fate, luck, the influence of powerful others (such as doctors, the police, or government officials) and/or a belief that the world is too complex for one to predict or successfully control its outcomes. Such people tend to blame others rather than themselves for their lives' outcomes.
Code of Canon Law, canon 731 §2 The Code of Canon Law gives for societies of apostolic life regulations much less detailed than for institutes of consecrated life, in many instances simply referring to the constitutions of the individual societies.Code of Canon Law, canons 731-746 Although societies of apostolic life may in externals resemble religious life, a major distinction is that they are not themselves consecrated and their state of life does not change (i.e. they remain secular clerics or laypersons). Examples of societies of apostolic life are the Oratory of Saint Philip Neri, the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul, and the Society of the Priests of Saint Sulpice, and societies such as the Missionary Society of St. Columban.
"The saddest melody within the whole range of music": the opening of the Tenebrae chanting of the Book of Lamentations of the Prophet Jeremiah The lessons of the first nocturn at matins are taken on all three days from the Book of Lamentations and are sung to a specific Gregorian reciting tone,Liber Usualis, p. 631. Other Gregorian melodic patterns are found in manuscripts, but only this one is now commonly used (Lamentations, Book of. which has been called "the saddest melody within the whole range of music".John F. Sullivan, The Externals of the Catholic Church (Aeterna Press 1951) The Lamentations of Jeremiah the Prophet have been set to polyphonic music by many composers, including Palestrina, Tallis and Lassus.
Marvel has repeatedly identified Namor as "Marvel's first mutant", which is true with regard to the order in which the character appeared in print. He is not the oldest mutant within the fictional Marvel Universe timeline. A number of mutants predate him, including Selene (active since at least 10,000 BC), Apocalypse (born in the 30th century BC), Exodus (born in the 12th century AD), Wolverine (late 19th century AD), Mystique and Destiny (dates of birth unknown, but known to have been active at the "Dawn of the 20th century"), the demonic mutant Azazel, and a group of mutants known as the Externals. In X-Men #6 (July 1964), X-Men leader Professor Xavier and antagonist Magneto each suspect Namor is a mutant and make efforts to recruit him.
The GUIDON's twenty six-member staff team is divided into three departments: the Writing Cluster (abbreviated as W7), the Design Cluster (abbreviated as D4), and the Organizational Cluster (abbreviated as O4). The Writing Cluster, headed by the Associate Editor, produces content for the newspaper, with separate staff members for the News, Sports, Beyond Loyola, Features, and Inquiry sections of the newspaper, the cluster also has its online presence in the form of the Broadcast News and Vantage Magazine staff. The Design Cluster, headed by the Design Executive Editor, creates multimedia content for the newspaper, with separate staff members for Photos, Graphic Design, Video Production, and Digital Development. The Organizational Cluster, headed by the Managing Editor, manages various organizational tasks for the newspaper, with separate staff members for Human Resources, Externals, Social Media, and Research.
This energy also manifests itself as an impenetrable and virtually indestructible "blast field" that protects him from bodily harm. He can use this blast-field for the following effects: to function as a personal shield or extending it to encompass others, to shape the field around another person to imprison them, or to absorb outside kinetic impact into his own energy supply, enabling him to increase the bludgeoning power of his blows or to create explosive shock waves upon impact. His power levels have varied over the years - but at his peak, he has been able to absorb (and redirect) the force of one of Gladiator's punches.Uncanny X-Men #341 (February 1997) He may also be a member of the immortal mutant group the Externals, due to his apparent ability to return to life after death.
It is apparent from the letter that Wagner and Franck had been discussing Lohengrin for some time, and Wagner refers back to an earlier argument about the relationship between Lohengrin and Elsa, and in particular whether Elsa's punishment of separation from Lohengrin at the end of the opera is justifiable. Wagner uses the letter firstly to argue in favour of his version and secondly to expand upon the more general mythical structure underpinning the relationship between Lohengrin and Elsa - a theme he would publicly develop in his 1851 autobiographical essay A Communication To My Friends. Elsa's punishment, Wagner argues, cannot be chastisement or death but that her separation from Lohengrin: 'this idea of separation- which, if it were left out, would require a total transformation of the subject and probably allow no more than its most superficial externals to be retained'.
He is described as "greatly venerable in life and always and everywhere devoted to God and the Blessed Virgin Mary" and as > A man of most beautiful appearance, as regards externals...and in good works > also he fought a good fight for Christ, for he used a hair shirt to conquer > the flesh, and by this discipline subdued it to the spirit. He rarely or > never ate meat. A chronicle of Vale Royal Abbey—probably written in the 1330s—states that the early abbots were under almost continual assault from a disgruntled populace. Abbot Walter spent much of his tenure defending the rights and prerogatives of his house (even, in 1302, securing the rights to all the dead wood on the ground within Peak Forest and at the same time petitioning parliament for the payment of arrears needed to pay for the ongoing works at the Abbey).
In August and September 1956, the leadership of the FLN guerrillas operating within Algeria (popularly known as "internals") met to organize a formal policy- making body to synchronize the movement's political and military activities. The highest authority of the FLN was vested in the thirty-four member National Council of the Algerian Revolution (Conseil National de la Révolution Algérienne, CNRA), within which the five-man Committee of Coordination and Enforcement (Comité de Coordination et d'Exécution, CCE) formed the executive. The leadership of the regular FLN forces based in Tunisia and Morocco ("externals"), including Ben Bella, knew the conference was taking place but by chance or design on the part of the "internals" were unable to attend. In October 1956, the French Air Force intercepted a Moroccan DC-3 bound for Tunis, carrying Ahmed Ben Bella, Mohammed Boudiaf, Mohamed Khider and Hocine Aït Ahmed, and forced it to land in Algiers.
Originally Cool TV had the target audience of urban 15–29 year-olds who love music, externals, clothes, trendy lifestyle and extravagance. The channel was first launched as m+ on September 15, 2003, but a year later, it was renamed to Cool TV on September 4, 2004, so the channel could be available in 2.5 million households. The channel broadcast 24 hours a day and aired reruns of series that RTL Klub originally purchased or produced as well as series targeting today's youth. In 2007, Cool TV launched a series of topical shows produced by the channel, such as Cool Live and Cool Night, featuring younger hosts lent to Cool by RTL Klub; the former being a youth lifestyle show, and the latter being an adult show including interviews with Hungarian porn stars and producers, as well as occasionally showing soft-core porn video clips.
Three articles consisting largely of funny stories of the second-rate variety with which attempts are made to enliven the dullness of clerical and secular social gatherings, an article entitled 'The Living Church' including such trivialities as how to draft a church poster announcing a forthcoming dance with the minimum number of words, two excerpts from American magazines assumed to have a certain raciness — that is practically all, apart from a letter from the bishop describing the externals of the Lambeth Conference and giving one or two items of church news. Blair-Fish continues: ‘’These diocesan publications have very considerable circulations, and it is shocking, if not actually scandalous, that such opportunities as they possess for positive and constructive writing should be wantonly thrown away.’’ There was some gradual increase in the use of engravings and photographs, particularly after the technological improvements in the 1890s, including halftone reproduction of illustrations and the introduction of offset printing.
According to Epictetus, nothing is properly considered either good, or bad, aside from those things that are within our own power to control, and the only thing fully in our power to control is our own volition (prohairesis) which exercises the faculty of choice that we use to judge our impressions. For example, if a person says something critical to us, that is not bad; or, if something complimentary is said, that is not good, because such things are externals and not in our power to control. By exerting the power of choice, it is possible to maintain equanimity in the face of either criticism and praise, which is a moral good. On the other hand, when people become troubled by criticism, or elated by praise, that is a moral evil because they have misjudged impressions by thinking that things not in their power (such as criticism or praise) have value, and by doing that they place a measure of control of their own life in the hands of others.
Just as man was made > in God's image, so man's kingdom on Earth was made in the image of the > Kingdom of Heaven.. The survival of the Empire in the East assured an active role of the Emperor in the affairs of the Church. The Byzantine state inherited from pagan times the administrative, and financial routine of administering religious affairs, and this routine was applied to the Christian Church. Following the pattern set by Eusebius of Caesarea, the Byzantines viewed the Emperor as a representative or messenger of Christ, responsible particularly for the propagation of Christianity among pagans, and for the "externals" of the religion, such as administration and finances. As Cyril Mango points out, the Byzantine political thinking can be summarised in the motto "One God, one empire, one religion".. The imperial role in the affairs of the Church never developed into a fixed, legally defined system.. On the other way around, with the decline of Rome, and internal dissension in the other Eastern Patriarchates, the Church of Constantinople became, between the 6th and 11th centuries, the richest and most influential center of Christendom;.
