Annette Mangaard is a Danish/Canadian filmmaker, artist, writer, director, and producer, whose films and installations have been shown internationally at art galleries, cinematheques and film festivals. Packe first went to the Pyrenees in 1853, making a traverse of the range. Two years later he travelled to the Alps, a description of which appeared in 1857 as The Spirit of Travel. In 2009 Gill self-published Octopussy, Dry Kidney & Blue Spots: Dirty Themes from 18c–19c Japanese Poems. This work consists of Gill's compilation, explorative translations and commentaries on Edo-period genre of comical haiku, known as senryū, with a particular focus on, the "filthy" poems in that genre, overlapping with known senryū, as bareku (破礼句:'lewd verse': literally "etiquette-violating verse").:"strictly speaking, bareku can refer to any kind of lewd verse, not just senryū". Nicolás Jaar (; ; born January 10, 1990) is a Chilean-American composer and recording artist based in New York. Among his notable works are the albums Space Is Only Noise (2011), Pomegranates (2015) and Sirens (2016). Since 2011, he has embarked on multiple explorative directions, performing a five-hour improvisational concert at MoMA PS1 and releasing a large volume of experimental recordings through his label, Other People, including works by Lydia Lunch, Pierre Bastien, John Wall and Lucretia Dalt. He scored Jacques Audiard's Dheepan (winner of the Palme d'Or at Cannes 2015) and Pablo Larrain's 2020 film, Ema.

The Penguin Guide to Jazz selected this album as part of its suggested Core Collection, stating: "Listening in detail to its five tracks ...helps illuminate much of the group's language, its vivid exploitation of splintered tempi, deliberately awkward and raucous phrasing, devices from other musical traditions ...and most particularly the use of percussion as another voiced and pitched instrument". In his Allmusic review, Scott Yanow comments: "The trio Air aimed to have close interplay between three musical equals. Nations to Flames generally received favourable reviews, with most critics commenting upon the stylistic departure from the band's previous album. Ray Van Horn, Jr. wrote for Blabbermouth that the album was "reflective more of industrial and splatterpunk", yet the album "is still joined at the hip by those core values of punched-up doom and explorative embellishments". Accepting a personal request from William H. Welch, Mall returned to Baltimore in 1893 and set up the Department of Anatomy at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. In computer science and graph theory, the Canadian traveller problem (CTP) is a generalization of the shortest path problem to graphs that are partially observable. A selection of the photographs that Helmer-Petersen created in Chicago was published in the little book Fragments of a City (1960). This offers a portrait of the city in thirty-five tightly composed graphic images and is a radical example of Helmer-Petersen’s graphic and formal experimentation. Helmer-Petersen’s approach to photography was by and large experimental and explorative. Again and again, he worked on the borders of what we normally consider to be photography. Von Nagel is known to put significant effort into the band's lyrics, which have been a great source of praise for the band's music, cited as poignant and poetic by critics. Critic Alee Karim described the lyrics on Dwellings as "...the best example of a metal band incorporating topical and relevant lyrics since Ludicra's The Tenant" (2010). While the band's debut album, Metazoa, focused mostly on themes of nature and the equilibrium of life and death, the topics therein have been varied, ranging the death of 18th-century French politician Maximilien de Robespierre on "Uneasy Lies the Head" to a metaphysically explorative descent from heaven to hell on "Hanging Gardens". Dwellings featured an overarching theme concerning the human spirit and the trials of humanity in pursuit of immortality throughout history.

On January 19, 1972 members of a new Guatemalan guerrilla movement entered Ixcán from Mexico, and were accepted by many farmers; in 1973, after an explorative foray into the municipal seat of Cotzal, the insurgent group decided to set up camp underground in the mountains of Xolchiché, municipality of Chajul. In 1974 the insurgent guerrilla group held its first conference, where it defined its strategy of action for the coming months and called itself Guerrilla Army of the Poor (-Ejército Guerrillero de los Pobres -EGP-). As part of its strategy EGP agreed to perform acts that notoriety was obtained and through which also symbolize the establishment of a "social justice" against the inefficiency and ineffectiveness of the judicial and administrative organs of the State.

William L. Traxel, in his explorative 2004 book Footprints of the Welsh Indians: Settlers in North America Before 1492 connects Straumsey to Mount Desert Island in Acadia National Park, Maine, United States, and consequently Straumsfjord with one of the nearby inlets:Traxel W.L. Footprints of the Welsh Indians: Settlers in North America Before 1492. 2004 He bases this on an identification of Cape Breton Island as Kjalarnes north of Straumsfjord, and on three candidate locations of Hóp to the south. Traxel refers to a number of archeological findings by Frederick J. Pohl at Follins Pond,Frederick J. Pohl, The Vikings on Cape Cod: Evidence from an Archaeological Discovery (Pictou Advocate Press, 1957) and connects these to the settlement of Hóp. He also reports that Robert Ellis Cahill found a Norse longhouse near Buzzard's BayCahill R.E., New England's Ancient Mysteries, 1993, Old Saltbox Publishing Company, 88 p.

His latest publication before this work was “Cold War II: cries in the desert - or how to counterbalance NATO’s propaganda from Ukraine to Central Asia”, published by Hertfordshire Press, England. As an explorative reporter and commentator, Charles van der Leeuw has consistently stressed the need to obtain insight in “the other side of the story” i.e. facts, trends and views opposed to what mainstream media usually offer their audiences. This was already reflected in “Koeweit brandt” in which he put question marks behind the international outcry against Saddam Hussein when he invaded the tiny emirate and the cheers in favour of America’s crackdown in Iraq that followed. In the case of Nagorno-Karabakh, he put the spotlight on the Azeri side of the story, in an attempt to counterbalance the powerful global Armenian lobby depicting the conflict as “Turkish” aggression against the innocent Armenians.

The ideas of enactivism regarding how organisms engage with their environment have interested those involved in robotics and man-machine interfaces. The analogy is drawn that a robot can be designed to interact and learn from its environment in a manner similar to the way an organism does, and a human can interact with a computer- aided design tool or data base using an interface that creates an enactive environment for the user, that is, all the user's tactile, auditory, and visual capabilities are enlisted in a mutually explorative engagement, capitalizing upon all the user's abilities, and not at all limited to cerebral engagement. In these areas it is common to refer to affordances as a design concept, the idea that an environment or an interface affords opportunities for enaction, and good design involves optimizing the role of such affordances. The activity in the AI community has influenced enactivism as a whole.

Larry Zhixing Hu, born in Beijing, China on June 6, 1985, and raised in the United States of America in Mobile, Alabama, was awarded minor planet name 18739 Larryhu during the 2003 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Cleveland, Ohio for his grand award-winning computer science team project named "A Liquid-based Thermoelectric Application for Processor Architecture Scalability".Intel International Science and Engineering Fair: 2003 Intel ISEF Grand Awards The year prior, Larry was a member of the first team to be sent to ISEF from the state of Alabama. Hu was awarded third place in the 2003 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair for his computer science team project. He attended the UMS Wright Preparatory School, Mobile, Alabama, U.S.A. He graduated from the University of Washington with his Computer Information Science capstone entitled "An Explorative Study in Scalable Information Technology Applications" that contemplated the growth of computing power with respect to Moore's Law and Ray Kurzweil's Law of Accelerating Returns .

QCA can be performed probabilistically or deterministically with observations of categorical variables. For instance, the existence of a descriptive inference or implication is supported deterministically by the absence of any counter- example cases to the inference; i.e. if a researcher claims condition X implies condition Y, then, deterministically, there must not exist any counterexample cases having condition X, but not condition Y. However, if the researcher wants to claim that condition X is a probabilistic 'predictor' of condition Y, in another similar set of cases, then the proportion of counterexample cases to an inference to the proportion of cases having that same combination of conditions can be set at a threshold value of for example 80% or higher. For each prime implicant that QCA outputs via its logical inference reduction process, the "coverage" — percentage out of all observations that exhibit that implication or inference — and the "consistency" — the percentage of observations conforming to that combination of variables having that particular value of the dependent variable or outcome — are calculated and reported, and can be used as indicators of the strength of such an explorative probabilistic inference.
