During the Invasion of Poland, 2nd Legions Infantry Division was a reserve unit of Army Łódź. Commanded by Colonel Edward Dojan-Surówka, it detrained at Łask and took positions near Zelów. On September 2, 1939, it was sent to Belchatow, and its elements fought in the Battle of Borowa Góra. At Bennington College, Goldston trained with Maxine Neuman, Milford Graves, Arthur Brooks, Vivian Fine, and Frank Baker. Across the Sacandaga River from Northville was the village of Sacandaga Park, which had become a favorite place for vacationers. The area offered a variety of accommodations, including the then-elegant Adirondack Inn, cabins and tent sites. There were beaches on the nearby Sacandaga River, and numerous amusements and rides, including a miniature train ride. Numerous FJ&G; passengers detrained at Northville and continued on by horsedrawn hack or stage to Adirondack destinations to the north, including Wells, Lake Pleasant and Piseco.

In accordance with Polish mobilization plan (see Plan West), the division, commanded by Colonel Marian Turkowski, was to form main force of southern group of Prusy Army. On September 3, 1939, its first battalions detrained in the area of Radom - Jedlnia. Since divisional headquarters was still on the way to the concentration point, these battalions were temporarily commanded by General Gustaw Paszkiewicz of the 12th Infantry Division. The first leg of Mimi and Toutou's journey was completed after 17 days at sea and their arrival at the Cape of Good Hope. From Cape Town, they and the men of the expedition traveled north by railway through Bulawayo to Elisabethville, where they arrived on 26 July. After traveling to the railhead at Fungurume, they were detrained and dragged through the bush by teams of oxen and steam tractors to the beginnings of the railway from Sankisia to Bukama. At Bukama, the boats and stores were unloaded and prepared for a voyage down the Lualaba River.

By 1905, several small slope mines and 15 shaft mines operated in the county. Most were along the railroad line. He requested and received special police protection for the team when it detrained in Iowa a couple days before the contest. The day before the game, Iowa Governor Clyde L. The last 60 miles run thru Los Angeles suburbs, was slow and on both the Chief arriving at night and the Super Chief in the morning, many passengers detrained,faster, earlier and more privately at San Bernardino, or Pasadena. The Chief would have been the "crown jewel" of most railroads' passenger fleets. But it did not survive the national decline in passenger demand,due to the safer faster transport provided by the jet 707 and DC8 which overcome airlines previous inferior 8hr LA-Chicago flights on propellor DC6 and Constellations at 300mph, only 3 mile high with rough and dangerous crossing of the Grand Canyon.

Personnel detrained at Seymour and then moved by road to Puckapunyal. From there the Victorian, South Australian and Western Australian contingents marched out for discharge, leaving behind a small cadre staff. The battalion was subsequently disbanded in early February 1946 while at Puckapunyal. Upon recruiting his full complement Royston received orders to entrain the Natal Light Horse (NLH) for Upington, an area near the border of German South-West Africa and, in just a few days, complete with horses and machine guns the regiment detrained at De Aar Junction. Shortly after this arrival the regiment was ordered out to fight a rebel Boer General Maritz who had recruited men to the German cause and was going out in open rebellion of the South African Government. Moving north from Upington to Bechuanaland the NLH engaged Maritz and his rebels at Kakamas mid-afternoon the next day. In this engagement the NLH successfully captured the rebel camp but failed to capture Maritz who, though wounded, got away.

By late September the situation was critical and in an apparent change of responsibility Lelyushenko was now charged by the Stavka with forming a new 1st Guards Special Rifle Corps near the front line to defend the Moscow approaches and specifically the main highway from Orel. His own assessment was that rear area forces such as 36th Motorcycle Rgt and the Tula Artillery School would be best employed to move towards the German advance, collecting retreating forces as they went. This strategy was approved and following the loss of Orel itself, Mtsensk, on the Zusha river, became the ‘red line’ beyond which retreat could not occur. The newly formed Corps detrained here October 4, 1941 in the face of the advance.

The rest of the XXXXIX Mountain Corps encountered little resistance, and by nightfall had reached the line Šoštanj–Mislinja. During the night of 10/11 April, XXXXIX Mountain Corps was ordered to bridge the Savinja river at Celje, then advance towards Brežice on the Sava.

San Clemente Pier is a station on Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner passenger train route and Metrolink's Orange County Line and Inland Empire-Orange County Line located in San Clemente, California, United States. The station is lightly used – only four Amtrak trains per day stop at the station (two trains in each direction), while Metrolink only serves the station on Saturdays and Sundays while Monday thru Friday, all Metrolink passengers must get off at the San Clemente station which is just north of this station. San Clemente Pier boarded or detrained a total of 15,017 Amtrak passengers in the 2013 fiscal year, an average of approximately 41 passengers daily, an over 50% increase from the 2012 fiscal year. Of the 74 California stations served by Amtrak, San Clemente Pier was the 54th-busiest in the 2013 fiscal year.

The 37th Guards Rifle Corps was created in the Moscow Military District from airborne divisions converted into infantry on 19 January 1944. In June 1944, the corps was transferred to the line of the Svir River to fight in the Svir-Petrozavodsk Operation. Between 11 and 15 June, the corps detrained at Pasha and Oyat stations in Leningrad Oblast and concentrated 40 kilometers south of Lodeynoye Pole. The corps was sent into battle on 21 June with the shock group of the 7th Army. It crossed the Svir River, with its 98th Guards Rifle Division and 99th Guards Rifle Division in the first line and its 100th Guards Rifle Division in the second line. on the first day of the offensive, the corps reportedly advanced 8 kilometers into the Finnish rear. Elements of the corps cut the Olonets- Petrozavodsk road on 25 June and captured Olonets on the same day. By 4 July, the corps was on the Tulemajoki River, but was only able to advance 15 to 20 kilometers from it due to strong Finnish opposition.
