Lü Shengzhong (; born 1952) is a Chinese artist who specializes in the ancient Chinese art of paper cutting. He grew up during the turbulent Cultural Revolution, did not follow the pack of Chinese contemporary artists who embraced the international vogue for installation art as his country began opening up to the West in the 1980s. "I walked away from the cultural confusion of the time and turned back to traditional folk art," he says. From the first look, his red tissue-paper tableaux, with their centermost, adjust, mandala-like frames, look like antiquated calligraphic goes with falling streams of hand-drawn elements skimming over the musings of sages.

The Battle off Samar () was the centermost action of the Battle of Leyte Gulf, one of the largest naval battles in history, which took place in the Philippine Sea off Samar Island, in the Philippines on October 25, 1944. It was the only major action in the larger battle in which the Americans were largely unprepared. The Battle off Samar has been cited by historians as one of the greatest last stands in naval history; ultimately the Americans prevailed over a massive armada - the Japanese Imperial Navy's Center Force under command of Vice Admiral Takeo Kurita - despite their very heavy losses and overwhelming odds. M85 is extremely poor in neutral hydrogen and has a very complex outer structure with shells and ripples that are thought to have been caused by a merger with another galaxy that took place between 4 and 7 billion years ago, as well as a relatively young (<3 billion years old) stellar population on its centermost region, some of it in a ring, that may have been created by a late starburst. While indirect methods imply that Messier 85 should contain a central supermassive black hole of around 100 million solar masses, velocity dispersion observations imply that the galaxy may entirely lack a central massive black hole. The type I supernova, 1960R was discovered in M85 on December 20, 1960 and reached an apparent magnitude of 11.7. This galaxy has also been the host of the first luminous red nova identified as such, M85 OT2006-1.

Comic History of Rome (1850) Remus jumping over the Walls Murus Romuli (Latin "Wall of Romulus") is the name given to a wall built to protect the Palatine Hill, the centermost of the Seven Hills of Rome, in one of the oldest parts of the city of Rome. Ancient tradition holds that this wall was built by Romulus.
