For instance, when Louisville officials adopted an ordinance disallowing blacks from public parks in June 1924, the NAACP denounced the ordinance, while the CIC called for opening parks in black neighborhoods. When city officials soon after opened a new park with a swimming pool, the CIC praised the mayor and park commissioners, in-spite of the fact that other parks blacks lacked basic facilities and were simply vacant lots.

At this level runways are generally shorter, and grass surfaces are increasingly common. Navigation aids are increasingly scarce, being more basic where they are available, and informal ground to air radio communication replaces air traffic control. The smallest airfields are too small to feature on general purpose Ordnance Survey (OS) maps, and lack basic facilities such as fuel and maintenance. The majority of airstrips are basically single short grass runways with no supporting facilities, although the presence of a hangar is not uncommon at the larger examples.

Districts such as Freetown, Fishpool and Pimhole were transformed from farmers' fields to rows of terraces beside the factories and mills. The houses were of the most limited kind, without basic facilities, sewers or proper streets. The result was the rapid spread of disease and high mortality rates in crowded areas. In 1838, out of 1,058 working class houses in Bury investigated by the Manchester Statistical Society, 733 had 3–4 people in each bed, 207 had 4–5, and 76 had 5–6.

There are two main roads through which the domestic and international tourists reach the district — from Nedumbassery to Munnar and from Kumarakom to Thekkady. Between these main tourism destinations, there are a few must-see places and Parunthumpara had been identified as one among them. But this place lacks basic facilities like lodging and boarding. A project had been submitted to the government for constructing a protective wall and for allotting a parking area so as to prevent the entry of vehicles on the grasslands.

During the summer months students are permitted to sit on the lawn in Old Court and garden parties may be held whereas, like other Oxbridge colleges, normally only fellows are allowed to walk on the lawns.
The fortress—created exclusively by Russian military engineers and builders, soldiers, combat engineers—was one of the most powerful maritime fortresses in the world. By the time of the First World War it was one of the few strongholds in the Russian far east. At the time, the fortress had about fifty shore batteries able to withstand the most powerful enemy ships, sixteen forts, and dozens of coastal caponiers, a number of strong points and land batteries. All the basic facilities were supplied with electricity and connected by roads and underground communication cables.

Minor adjustments were made in later years, but the basic facilities put in place in the 1890s hardly changed until closure in 1954. In the 1930s the roof and one wall of the original shed were demolished as life expired and not replaced.

In the era of acoustical recordings (prior to the introduction of microphones, electrical recording and amplification), the earliest recording studios were very basic facilities, being essentially soundproof rooms that isolated the performers from outside noise. During this era it was not uncommon for recordings to be made in any available location, such as a local ballroom, using portable acoustic recording equipment. In this period, master recordings were made by cutting a rotating cylinder (later disc) made from wax. Performers were typically grouped around a large acoustic horn (an enlarged version of the familiar phonograph horn).

This village has one government primary school, a government higher secondary school and a government hospital with decent space and buildings. The schools and Hospital are very good in facilities when compared to surrounding villages. It has very small public library and had very good movie hall but it was closed few years ago because of some financial reason. Now the Vembadithalam Primary School (Elementary School, from 1st Standard Class to 5th Class) infrastructure is in pathetic picture of neglect and utter lack of basic facilities by officials and the big people of Vembadithalam.

As of 2008, in Surkh Rod district alone, over 1,250 returnee families were living in the Champtala camps, without having access to even basic facilities such as shelter, potable water and sanitation. All of these families are residing in tents provided by aid agencies. UNICEF and UNHCR occasionally provide clean water, but most of the time residents have to rely on local water sources that are located at considerable distances from the camp. Some of the returnee residents go as far as Jalalabad, 30 km away from the camp, in search of employment as laborers.

Parties must ensure security of tenure and that access is free of discrimination, and progressively work to eliminate homelessness.
Das was posted to Kalahandi in 1963, when the district was one of the most backward ones having a substantial tribal population and lacking in basic facilities. The district faced severe drought in 1965, which necessitated tremendous efforts by the administration to provide relief to ameliorate the condition of the famine-stricken population. He has written about the problems he had faced when he stopped the export of food grains outside the district, though his order was rescinded by the Government. The authorities had to permit import rice at a later date.
In April 1847, the foundation stone for the Caledonian Railway company's Edinburgh station was ceremonially laid. Designed by William Tite, the station was to be a large Italianate structure. Due to the railway company's lack of funds this was not built and when the first services arrived in February 1848 there was only a temporary station with basic facilities, called Lothian Road Station from its location on that street. By 1870, with increasing traffic, it was decided to build a new station slightly further north, still on Lothian Road but nearer Princes Street.
The league was officially founded in 1911,2016–2017 Official Handbook Essex & Suffolk Border League although the league includes records of the Colchester Borough League (founded 1893) and Colchester & District League (founded 1903) in its history. Founder members of the Border League in the inaugural 1911–12 season included Clacton Town, Colchester Town, West Bergholt and West Mersea. Over the last 100 years the league has seen many changes in its status with many clubs progressing to a higher level. The overlying trend has been the migration of the larger clubs and their replacement by smaller clubs with more basic facilities.
In 2010, the Medical Programme Board demonstrated almost a quarter of junior doctors dropped out of their NHS training in England after two years, and according to Unions, this was due to high workload. Denied by the department of Health, the BMA highlighted issues around the 'European Working Time Directive', shift patterns and understaffing. In 2016, a report issued by the Royal College of Physicians stressed "gaps in rotas, poor access to basic facilities and an ever-growing workload" for doctors in training. Despite feeling valued by their patients, 80% of these doctors reported excessive stress, either ‘sometimes’ or ‘often’.
A captive leopard Panthera pardus is listed in CITES Appendix I. Despite India and Nepal being contracting parties to CITES, national legislation of both countries does not incorporate and address the spirit and concerns of CITES. Trained human resources, basic facilities and effective networks for control of poaching and trade in wildlife are lacking. Frederick Walter Champion was one of the first in India who after World War I advocated for the conservation of leopards, condemned sport hunting and recognised their key role in the ecosystem. Billy Arjan Singh championed their cause since the early 1970s.
Education Department is fully supported by energetic, dedicated and committed District Government Leadership in extending and spreading education with provision of all basic facilities to the public and with particular focus on uplift of Female Education. It is, therefore, expedient to lift the ban on appointments or necessary permission may be accorded to appoint the staff on contract basis as a special case.
Most of the Teruel Province has undergone massive depopulation since the middle of the 20th century. This situation is shared with other areas in Spain, particularly with those near the Iberian mountain range (much of the provinces of Soria, Guadalajara and Cuenca) and with other areas in Aragón. The exodus from the rural mountain areas in Teruel rose after General Franco's Plan de Estabilización in 1959. The population declined steeply as people migrated towards the industrial areas and the large cities in Spain, leaving behind their small villages where living conditions were often harsh, with cold winters and very basic facilities.
The LSWR managed to acquire sufficient land near the village of Kingsley (3 miles to the south of Bentley) where it decided to site a station in the hope that the area would attract residential development. With fairly basic facilities, the station was only a halt and opened after the rest of the line on 7 March 1906. In 1905 the War Department began the construction of the Longmoor Military Railway, a standard gauge line which would connect Longmoor Military Camp with the LSWR's terminus at Bordon. This itself was linked to the main Waterloo-Portsmouth line at Liss in 1942.
A cold site is an empty operational spaces with basic facilities like raised floors, air conditioning, power and communication lines etc. Following an incident equipment is brought in and set up to resume operations. It does not include backed up copies of data and information from the original location of the organization, nor does it include hardware already set up. The lack of provisioned hardware contributes to the minimal start-up costs of the cold site, but requires additional time following the disaster to have the operation running at a capacity close to that prior to the disaster.
Direct trains to Liverpool via Ormskirk (and also to and East Lancashire) were withdrawn from Rufford station in October 1969, though Liverpool trains continued to run through non-stop until May of the following year. From July 1970, Rufford became the only passing point on the truncated Preston-Ormskirk branch line after the Midge Hall to Ormskirk section was singled. Over that same summer the station was rebuilt, with its wooden platforms and substantial station building demolished and replaced with more functional and basic facilities. Until the late 1980s, peak-hour trains on the Preston-Ormskirk line continued to cross at Rufford station.
The village got its name from Zain-Lank, a small island in the centre of Wular Lake built by the famous Kashmiri saint Zain-ul-Abedin. The village is divided into several mohallas like Khan Mohalla, Reshi Mohalla, Khar colony, Pomposh Colony, Bani Mahal, Heri Mahal etc. There is only one middle school in the whole village with a very low teacher to student ratio, lacking all the basic facilities and is currently in a very dilapidated condition. In the UK, almost all boarding schools are independent schools, which are not subject to the national curriculum or other educational regulations applicable to state schools. Nevertheless, there are some regulations, primarily for health and safety purposes, as well as the general law. The Department for Children, Schools and Families, in conjunction with the Department of Health of the United Kingdom, has prescribed guidelines for boarding schools, called the National Boarding Standards. One example of regulations covered within the National Boarding Standards are those for the minimum floor area or living space required for each student and other aspects of basic facilities.
In 1916, the southern part of Ripon Racecourse, only south-west of the city of Ripon, was pressed into service as a base for No. 76 Squadron RFC. No. 76 Squadron was employed on Home Defence duties and had individual flights located at Catterick, Copmanthorpe and Helperby, with Ripon acting as the headquarters. Other landing grounds could be used in an emergency (RAF Manywells Height), though in practice, lesser used locations saw very little activity (if any). As with the other landing grounds in Yorkshire, the site at Ripon was quite compact, covering only with basic facilities.

Prior to refurbishment The line originally opened in 1895, when a wooden "chalet" type building was erected, including a waiting shelter and staff areas. As a result of increased popularity with the Victorian holidaymakers, a larger, brick-built structure was erected at the turn of the century. The original structure was built entirely of wood, and offered only basic facilities to visitors, and such was the popularity of the tramway that it outlived its usefulness within a few years. A replacement stone structure was installed in 1902 and featured castellated turrets and was more Gothic in appearance.

In October, the Liberian ambassador in Washington was reported as saying that he feared that his country may be "close to collapse"; by 24 October, all 15 counties had reported Ebola cases. By November 2014, the rate of new infections in Liberia appeared to be declining and the state of emergency was lifted. The drop in cases was believed to be related to an integrated strategy combining isolation and treatment with community behaviour change, including safe burial practices, case finding and contact tracing.
The Border Security Force education fund sponsored the development of the Institute. The Institute is named after the founding father of Border Security Force Padma Vibhushan Late K.F. Rustamji. The stadium offered basic facilities with a fully licensed bar (serving Barnsley bitter), lounge area and snack bar in the main stand with panoramic views of the racing. The track was all-grass, 330 yards in circumference and used an 'Inside Sumner' hare system with race distances of 400, 500, 650 and 800 yards.
The station opened on 12 March 2017 with relatively basic facilities and initially serving a limited number of lines. Future development will involve building a pedestrian bridge across the tracks to provide step-free access to the platforms, and constructing several new paths to provide more direct access to Auckland Domain, Parnell Town Centre and the University of Auckland. It was originally intended that the station would eventually serve all three lines which pass through it. This was contingent on the removal of the Sarawia Street level crossing in Newmarket, removing the signalling constraints which affected the line.
The South Eastern and Chatham Railway opened a new halt at the growing village of Cheriton on 1 May 1908, away from Shorncliffe later Folkestone West. Each platform was equipped with basic facilities: a ticket hut and waiting shelter, running-in boards and a row of gas lamps kept by the resident haltkeeper. The station was served solely by Elham Valley Railway trains and closed as a wartime economy measure during both wars, before closing definitively with the rest of the Elham Valley Railway in 1947.
The university provides basic facilities to the boarders in the hostels like common room with television, reading room with newspaper and magazine, guest room, first aid, STD telephone booth, canteen etc. There are two nationalized banks (State Bank Of India and U.C.O Bank), one post-office, one Health Center, 2 Auditorium Biju Patnaik Auditorium and I.I.M Auditorium, one Police-Out Post, one faculty house and one community center have been established in the university campus for providing services to students/teachers and employees in the campus. Admission to PG diploma, M.A, M. Sc, M.Tech, M.Phil, M.C.A, M.B.A and P.hD courses are being conducted through an entrance examination.
These GWR halts had the most basic facilities, with platforms long enough for just one or two carriages; some had no raised platform at all, necessitating the provision of steps on the carriages. Halts were normally unstaffed, tickets being sold on the train. On 1 September 1904, a larger version, known on the GWR as a "platform" instead of a "halt", was introduced; these had longer platforms, and were usually staffed by a senior grade porter, who sold tickets, and sometimes booked parcels or milk consignments. From 1903 to 1947 the GWR built 379 halts and inherited a further 40 from other companies at the Grouping of 1923.
Multiple protests have been held since 2011. In July 2011, Abhay Mohan Jha of HIMAL Southasian, made a visit to the proposed township and found it to be a desolated and uninhabited place, that resembled more of a cemetery. After being disallowed by the guards to enter the property, he visited the project-office in Chowringhee to find about 200 investors in a dharna, who despite having paid in full, were unable to move in, due to lack of any minimal infrastructure. Work progressed at a very slow pace and whilst more houses were eventually constructed, most of them had no connecting road or other basic facilities.
Lua ( ; from meaning moon) is a lightweight, high-level, multi-paradigm programming language designed primarily for embedded use in applications. Lua is cross-platform, since the interpreter of compiled bytecode is written in ANSI C, and Lua has a relatively simple C API to embed it into applications. Lua was originally designed in 1993 as a language for extending software applications to meet the increasing demand for customization at the time. It provided the basic facilities of most procedural programming languages, but more complicated or domain-specific features were not included; rather, it included mechanisms for extending the language, allowing programmers to implement such features.
Deep-fried chips (slices or pieces of potato) as a dish may have first appeared in England in about the same period: the Oxford English Dictionary notes as its earliest usage of "chips" in this sense the mention in Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities (1859): "husky chips of potato, fried with some reluctant drops of oil". The modern fish-and-chip shop ("chippy" in modern British slang) originated in the United Kingdom, although outlets selling fried food occurred commonly throughout Europe. Early fish-and-chip shops had only very basic facilities. Usually these consisted principally of a large cauldron of cooking fat, heated by a coal fire.
He is known for development in Vindhya region, he worked hard for the development of gram panchayats and providing the basic facilities of health, sanitation, education, irrigation, infrastructure at panchayat level, functioning of panchayats, providing drinking water, developing dams and small ponds. After seeing all his work public wanted him see in bigger role therefore he contested Lok Sabha elections in 2004 and won with huge margin of 85,000 and after that never looked back. He did his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in 1981, Master of Arts (MA) in 1984, L.L.B in 1986, All the degrees from Avdhesh Pratap University, Rewa district, [Madhya Pradesh State].
The station's two platforms had fairly basic facilities with platform awnings and an alcove-like waiting room on the down platform; a platform signal cabin was to be found at the western end of the station, overseeing a small goods yard. The yard saw considerable inward traffic in the form of timber for a local sawmill which was subsequently dispatched back out in consignments of prepared boards. The station was run by a staff of four: the stationmaster, signal porter, porter and assistant clerk; the last stationmaster left in 1926, at which point Ardingly came under the control of Horsted Keynes.Marx, K., p. 209-211.
Most of these areas save one, Belleayre Mountain Ski Center, are state campgrounds, meant for heavier, higher-impact use. The campgrounds are generally far smaller units, with many sites and basic facilities available, sometimes abutting wilderness and wild forest areas, and paved roads offering easy vehicle access. North-South Lake, however, is a vast area (New York's largest public campground) including not only many sites but swimming areas at both lakes, the former Catskill Mountain House site at Pine Orchard and many of the historic trails around it. Similarly, Belleayre's property extends well east of its ski trails and includes some of the hiking trails in the region as well.
Part of the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive's plan for the line was to reopen the stations at Silkstone (actually at Silkstone Common) and Dodworth. Dodworth was reopened as a single platform station, with car parking facilities from the commencement of the new timetable on 15 May 1989. The station is unstaffed and has only basic facilities (a waiting shelter, timetable information posters and bench seating). There is a display screen in the shelter, occasional automatic announcements and a customer help point at the station entrance. The station is “Green tick” so step-free access is available to the platform for those in wheelchairs.
A view of fishing boats in Mubarak Village, Karachi Karachi's second largest fisherman locality of Mubarak Village- does not have basic facilities including jetty, gas, health and education, despite the fact that it existed even before the independence of Pakistan. Most of the local people are involved in fisheries. The major economic activity in the village is fishing followed by construction and community, social, and personal services. These neglected fishermen, whose forefathers had been living here for nearly 200 years, lack all basic amenities: they do not have any pier or jetty to offload their fish catch, nor they have access to clean water, education and health facilities.
Although the station is in the City of Salford, rather than Manchester, the name "Swinton (Manchester)" is used by National Rail to refer to the station (to avoid confusion with Swinton railway station in South Yorkshire). The station is actually located in Pendlebury and not Swinton itself, the boundary between the two districts being about 40 yards further down Station Road (B5231), beyond the junction with Boundary Road and nearer the town centre. Swinton railway station has relatively basic facilities. For example, the ticket office is only open until 12:50 on weekdays and 13:50 on Saturdays (closed Sundays) - after this time one must purchase tickets on board the train.
On the occasion of the World Nature Conservation day 2020, the cricketer took to twitter to spread message about the preservation of biodiversity. Tendulkar sponsors 200 underprivileged children every year through Apnalaya, a Mumbai-based NGO associated with his mother-in-law, Annabel Mehta. A request by him on Twitter raised through Sachin's crusade against cancer for the Crusade against Cancer foundation. Sachin Tendulkar spent nine hours on the 12-hour Coca-Cola-NDTV Support My School telethon on 18 September 2011 that helped raise to more than the target – for the creation of basic facilities, particularly toilets for girl students, in 140 government schools across the country.
The outstation movement of the 1970s and 1980s, when Aboriginal people moved to tiny remote settlements on traditional land, brought health benefits, AIATSIS summary but funding them proved expensive, training and employment opportunies were not provided in many cases, and support from governments dwindled in the 2000s, particularly in the era of the Howard government. Indigenous communities in remote Australia are often small, isolated towns with basic facilities, on traditionally-owned land. These communities have between 20 and 300 inhabitants and are often closed to outsiders for cultural reasons. The long-term viability and resilience of Aboriginal communities in desert areas has been discussed by scholars and policy-makers.
Bedsits are often occupied by young single people, students, those unable to purchase their own properties, or those whose occupation is of a transitory nature; the cost is typically lower than for other types of property. Someone whose employment is a long distance from their home may sometimes rent a bedsit to reduce the cost and inconvenience of daily travel. In 2013, regulations came into force in Ireland, under which landlords were obliged to provide each tenant with a separate bathroom, a four-ring cooker, access to laundry facilities and other basic facilities, or risk being fined up to €5,000. Bedsits have since been outlawed in the Republic.
Simpson, 2001, page 85 No more than long, the halt was supervised by the station master at Thame.Potts, 2004, page 110 As with similar GWR structures, Towersey Halt had very basic facilities: a small wooden pagoda-style passenger waiting shelter, two oil lamps and a running in board showing the station's name on both sides.Mitchell and Smith, 2003, plates 64 and 65 To the east of the halt, Penn Farm had its own siding from the line's opening until 1939.Mitchell and Smith, 2003, plate XVI On the basis of an estimated saving of £34,372, passenger services were withdrawn between Oxford and Princes Risborough from January 1963.
The Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme (DILRMP), previously known as the National Land Record Modernization Programme (NLRMP), was launched in 2008 by the Government of India with the purpose to digitize and modernize land records and develop a centralised land record management system. The official land records of mapped and unmapped will enable the government to give access to basic facilities and rights to the land owners. How an IIT team is helping put 1,000 villages on the map of India? The DILRMP is the amalgamation of two projects: Computerisation of Land Records (CLR) and Strengthening of Revenue Administration and Updating of Land Records (SRA & ULR).
The Economy SkyCouch is available on the 787–9, 777-200ER and 777-300ER. It is a set of three Economy class seats on the window rows of the cabin that have armrests that retract into the seat back, and full leg rests that individually and manually can be raised to horizontal to form a flat surface extending to the back of the seats in front. It is largely designed for families for use as a flat play surface, and for couples, who on purchasing the middle seat for 25% more each, can use it as a flat sleeping surface. Each SkyCouch seat is equipped with the same basic facilities as a standard Economy seat.
Lower landing and airport handling fees are charged to airlines due to the basic facilities, lack of jet bridges, and fewer amenities and retail outlets compared to a conventional terminal. However, the terminal is located next to the main terminal building, unlike in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. The terminal was rebuilt by Tiger Airways Australia, which has used it as its main hub since it operated its first domestic flight on 23 November 2007. Jetstar Airways confirmed its involvement in discussions with Melbourne Airport regarding the expansion of terminal facilities to accommodate for the growth of domestic low-cost services. The expansion of Terminal 4 includes infrastructure to accommodate Tiger Airways Australia and Jetstar Airways flights.
In 1992–93, the club were unable to play at Normanby Road, playing their home fixtures first at Guisborough and then Darlington Road (Ferryhill Athletic). They finished bottom of the league with their last ever game in the Northern League a 0–7 trouncing by champions Whitby Town. In the summer of 1993 the Football Association announced that the club would not be allowed to enter either the F.A. Cup or F.A. Trophy as the ground was lacking in basic facilities and was considered to be in a dangerous condition. At the same time the Northern League reluctantly suspended the club’s membership, having done their utmost to keep the club in the competition.
It illustrates the policy and practice by early Queensland governments of reserving Crown land for public purposes in prime waterside areas, which was common, but is now rarely practiced. Cotton Tree Caravan Park is important in demonstrating the evolution of tourist accommodation on the Sunshine Coast, an historically important region for the development of caravan parks in Queensland. The Park's reconfiguration in 1962/63 during the boom period for caravanning (late 1950s and 1960s) and subsequent periodic updates to its basic facilities, were a response intrinsically linked to the rise of mass motoring Australia-wide in the second half of the 20th century. The place is important in demonstrating the principal characteristics of a particular class of cultural places.
The district administration has chosen the Chari Dhandh wetland to create basic facilities for tourists. The Gujarat State forest department is preparing a project for Chari Dhandh development along with Dhinodhar hills in Nakhatrana taluka to make a circuit comprising Dhorado in interior Banni, Chari Dhandh and Dhinodhar to be a scenic route for nature lovers. As it is shallow water body, it could be used to promote boating providing employment to the local people, whose main activity has been restricted to fishing till now. There is also a suggestion to set up a Nature Interpretation Centre at the nearby Fulary village, the centre will provide knowledge of the wetland to the tourists.
Since it was built according to the standards of 30 years ago, much effort has been made to improve the basic facilities of the school premises to meet the needs of the a changing society. A new annex was completed in Autumn 2005,Official website: School Information providing four more classrooms and some special rooms in addition to the 20 classroom in the main building. There are a total of 24 classrooms, 16 special rooms, a hall, a covered playground, a canteen, a library, a student activity room, a gymnastics room, a badminton court and two basketball courts. Student TV and a School History Gallery were established in 2013 to celebrate the school's 40th Anniversary.
The general process of creating a simulation can be divided into several steps: # Topology definition: To ease the creation of basic facilities and define their interrelationships, ns-3 has a system of containers and helpers that facilitates this process. # Model development: Models are added to simulation (for example, UDP, IPv4, point-to-point devices and links, applications); most of the time this is done using helpers. # Node and link configuration: models set their default values (for example, the size of packets sent by an application or MTU of a point-to-point link); most of the time this is done using the attribute system. # Execution: Simulation facilities generate events, data requested by the user is logged.
He himself organized the financing for the home's necessary basic facilities by raffling donations in kind. Under the motto "Der Herr ist des Armen Schutz" (from Psalm 9:9, although this German translation literally means "The Lord is the poor man's shelter"), the first group of residents at the home were 18 girls. Maintenance costs were partly covered by the girls' handicrafts, which were raffled off, and collections, but there was always a debt of several hundred Thaler. The child and youth home's main house After the Reverend Koch's death in 1867, the only way to stop the home's closure in 1894 was by having the deaconess's Upper Rhine motherhouse take it over.
Until 1784 most of the fortifications around Sevastopol were dedicated to the protection of the harbour entrance, the city itself and its naval base and were positioned close to these features. The construction of fortifications in the surrounding hills had been planned as early as 1837, but at the time of the battle only basic facilities and roadways had been completed on the north side of the long, westward-facing bay. To the south the central anchor of the defence system was the Malakoff-Kurgan ridge. Situated about southeast of the city, it consisted of a two-story stone tower of limestone on which the Russians had placed five heavy 18-pounder cannons at the beginning of the siege.
The default document repository is created complete with everything needed to publish a default wiki in the FitNesse style (that is, all the images, stylesheets, JavaScript files and so on are created together with the basic wiki page repository). The wiki engine is quite basic, but does offer all the basic facilities common among wiki engines: a search engine, revision history per page and a file overview. It also offers some refactoring operations that allow for deleting, moving and renaming files. In addition the wiki engine offers some test-specific facilities, such as standard buttons to run tests, ways of defining individual test pages and suites of tests and a historic overview of test results for trend analysis.
West Heath Hospital is located in Rednal Road and nearby, in Ivyhouse Road, there is a rehabilitation hospital for people with brain injury . There are two elderly persons' homes, primary schools, a community centre in Hampstead House (a second community centre, Oddingley Hall, is actually situated in Kings Norton), recreation grounds and other basic facilities. West Heath library, previously situated near the former Fordrough public house off West Heath Road, was closed by Birmingham City Council in January 2014 despite a vigorous local community-based campaign to fight the closure. More than 110 local residents attended a public protest outside the library building on 12 April 2014 to further the aims of the campaign against closure.
BI–Bicutan is notorious for its squalid conditions. Designed only to hold a maximum of 140 detainees, the facility in May 2020 held over 400 detainees, an overcrowding rate of ≥285%. On a fact-finding mission conducted by Human Rights Without Frontiers (HRWF) in September 2016 and accepted as a submission by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights at a time when BI–Bicutan held 147 detainees, the conditions were described as "appalling", the provided food as "meager rations" which detainees supplement with their own money; a complete lack of medical care was also noted. A report by Howard Johnson, a BBC correspondent, on Victoria Derbyshire, noted the center's overcrowding, rat infestation, and "lack of basic facilities".
Mustique Airways Twin Otter at Bequia Moonhole: Ecologically oriented homes built into a volcanic rock face of native stone, with whalebone accents on the steep hills of Bequia's southern tip. As early as 1974, Sir William Halcrow and Partners in association with the UK Transport Development Unit produced a design for a 4,000-foot runway at Paget Farm. Studies were undertaken for this report by, among others, the Caribbean Meteorological Institute and Airline Pilots, with British technical assistance. The World Bank Report on Tourism, dated April 20, 1982, stated that “The Grenadines are the area of most tourism potential”, stressing that priority be given to the development of “certain basic facilities, notably jetties and airstrips”.
Trisha Gupta of Mumbai Mirror observed that unlike the survival dramas of Hollywood, where the protagonist is caught between rocks, cornered by wolves, afloat in the ocean, or stuck with a tiger on a ship in the ocean, the protagonist of Trapped gets trapped in an apartment located in the middle of the city with some of the basic facilities. Gupta further said that the film "takes a sharp look at the Indian city and our particular isolation in it." She pointed out the contrast in the building's name, Swarg (Hindi for heaven). According to Uday Bhatia of Mint, all of Motwane's films are about individuals who are trapped in various ways by their life choices and social stations.
Huge boulders on the summit of Mount Batulao Mount Batulao is a popular day hike, with Philippine hiking guide Pinoy Mountaineer rating it with a "4/9" difficulty score. The mountain is recommended for beginners because of its relatively low difficulty and impressive summit vistas. Its accessibility to Metro Manila and its cool climate, as well as proximity to the popular mountain resort city of Tagaytay, also make it a popular camping destination, with at least ten designated camp sites and basic facilities like water stations, makeshift shower areas at its base and even a convenience store selling buco juice at the junction of two trails. All twelve peaks of Mount Batulao can be reached by ascending either the east or west route.
The halt was one of three that the GWR opened on the line in September 1906 to try to encourage passenger traffic in the face of increased competition from buses.Oppitz, 2000, page 22 It was situated to the north of Bledlow, on the northern side of Perry Lane adjacent to the railway overbridge which carried the Watlington and Princes Risborough Railway over the road. A flight of steps led up from the road to the station which had very basic facilities: a single low platform, no more than one coach-length long, a running in board and a small wooden passenger waiting shelter. The needed for the waiting shelter were acquired by the railway company from Lord Carrington in 1909.
The station came about in 1937 when, in response to holiday camp development in the area, the Southern Railway decided to realign its branch line to New Romney (which had been opened in 1884) closer to the sea and to open two intermediate stations - Lydd-on-Sea and Greatstone-on-Sea. Greatstone was convenient for Greatstone Camp and Maddieson's Holiday Camp and competed with services provided by the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway (RHDR) which had already been operating in the area for a decade. The station was equipped with basic facilities consisting of a long single platform on the up side with a simple shelter. An extensive concrete forecourt was, however, provided for the coaches which were expected to ferry in crowds of holidaymakers.
The village started in 1950 at the beginning of operations of the Nevada Test Site as Base Camp Mercury, a military-style encampment built to provide basic facilities for personnel involved. As the scope of the testing program expanded, so did the number of personnel required to fulfill the site's mission, and beginning in 1951 a $6.7 million construction project was undertaken to provide adequate individual housing, office, and service structures with a civilian village-like design. With the acquisition of a full-service post office in the mid-1950s, Base Camp Mercury was formally renamed Mercury, Nevada. In 1957, the US Navy launched nine atmospheric sounding rockets to measure nuclear radiation and other atmospheric data, using Mercury as a staging area.
Site of the Dyke Station in 2007 The Dyke Station opened as the terminus for the standard gauge railway line which ran from Dyke Junction Station (now known as Aldrington railway station) to 200 feet below the summit of Devil's Dyke.Devil's Dyke The line was opened by the Brighton and Dyke Railway Company to serve what was at the time a very popular tourist destination, boasting two bandstands, an observatory, a camera obscura and fairground rides. The station itself was equipped with basic facilities to accommodate tourists and postcards of the station buildings reveal a converted railway carriage with shack attached bearing the sign "Tea and Cakes". The 1893 August Bank Holiday saw around 30,000 people flock to the Dyke, many of them brought by the railway.
The railway terminated almost at the foot of Dungeness lighthouse (1901) where very basic facilities were provided in the shape of a single platform on which was perched a small arched roof weather- boarded shed comprising a ticket office, waiting room and ladies and gents toilets. A run-round loop was provided to facilitate engine reversals and a siding led to the lighthouse.Subterranea Britannica, "Dungeness". The promoters of the line had hoped that linking Dungeness, one of the largest expanses of shingle in the world, with London by rail would lead to its development as a port from which cross-channel steamers could operate to the small French fishing port of Le Tréport, 60 miles distant and 114 miles from Paris.
RCH map of railways in the vicinity of Lydney Town The station which is situated in the centre of Lydney opened with rather basic facilities on 23 September 1875, these facilities were later upgraded in 1897. The station is located at 8 miles 75 chains from Berkeley Road, located at exactly 1 chain to the north of the station is the High Street level crossing (officially called "Lydney Town Crossing"). The station's proximity to the main road through Lydney proved to be a problem throughout the station's life as shunting in the nearby yard and in the station caused delays to road and foot traffic. A footbridge was constructed in 1904 in order to reduce the delays to foot traffic.
Issues reported in TaleemDo! App usually relate to poor building walls, putting students lives at risk or in some places no building walls at all. Basic facilities are missing and there are also many complaints about lack of quality teachers. In the case of rural females, only 6% had ever-attended any school and only 3% graduated from primary or higher levels. The primary net attendance ratio of school-going age children was 39%, with girls lower than boys (36% versus 41%). This indicates that 61% children were still out of school and will either join late, or probably will never enroll. The total enrollment for middle classes up to December 2009 was 1,085, and total enrollment in secondary classes was only 595.
The club's victory in the 2016 Scottish Amateur Cup permitted Colville Park to enter the 2016–17 Scottish Cup. In Preliminary Round 1 they overcame Edusport Academy of the South of Scotland Football League after a replay; it was the first time that an Amateur League side had progressed in the national tournament (this being only the second year of being invited to compete). However in Preliminary Round 2 they were defeated by Girvan – the same team who had beaten the previous year's Amateur entrants Harestanes. Colville Park's 'home' matches were played at New Tinto Park in Glasgow, the newly built ground of Junior club Benburb, due to their own basic facilities in Motherwell being unsuitable for staging Scottish Cup fixtures.
The Buckinghamshire Railway provided basic facilities which consisted of a single wooden platform and solitary goods siding on the up side of the line. The main station building, a part-timber and part-brick structure in an "H" shape, was of unusual construction, with the main ticket office and booking hall housed in a one-storey weather-boarded wing with a steeply-pitched gable roof which projected over the platform as a sort of makeshift canopy. The stationmaster occupied an adjacent two-storey building which was linked with the ticket office by a two-storey tile-hung central block which contained a waiting room. The style of construction can be explained by the Buckingham Railway's need to save on costs in the face of an economic crisis.
The Executive Summary of the consultation report showed the single-packaged development approach, the canopy, the government supervision and the concept of the project most concerned and discussed in the open questions on the consultation form. The report noted there was strong opposition to the single-packaged development approach and there was a fear that the WKCD project could evolve into an ordinary property development project. Over half of the written submissions were against the canopy. As the government renewed conditions for the development, the shortlisted proponents failed to renew their proposals and Chief Secretary Rafael Hui Si-yan said the much-criticised giant canopy – centrepiece of the winning design by architect Lord Foster – would be scrapped with the entire to start all new by a review of the basic facilities to be offered.
As a result of persistent request from parents of pupils in the local Franciscan Nursery and Primary School and from the general public, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Osogbo decided to establish a private Secondary School in Ilesa, Osun State. By October 1996, a temporary site was established at the compound of the Ijofi- Ilesa Franciscan nursery and primary school, which provided some classrooms and basic facilities, pending the development of the permanent site of about 60 plots of land, comprising about ten hectares along Iyemogun Road. Preparatory classes for prospective students commenced in October, 1996 with about 100 students who had written and passed the entrance examination. By January 1997, the proprietor the Most Reverend Bishop Gabriel 'Leke Abegunrin, gave his approval for the establishment of the school, and the school was officially named.
The film begins with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) IPS Amit Kumar (Ajay Devgn) taking charge of the fictitious Tejpur District (West Champaran) in Bihar. The area is notorious for its crime rate, with Tezpur Police under the control of the local don Sadhu Yadav (Mohan Joshi) and his son Sundar Yadav (Yashpal Sharma). While travelling to the headquarters on the first day of his duty, Amit's car breaks down and he uses this as an opportunity to inspect the area. While touring the area, Amit observes a systemic rot in the administration of the place what with the professional laxity among police officials, crumbling infrastructure, outdated weaponry, lack of basic facilities like stationery and transportation and the dependence of the officials on corrupt local contractors for the same.
In January 2020, during a visit to the Basabitta village in the Dhauraiya constituency, villagers laid down a gherao (encirclement) around Manish Kumar's convoy to protest the lack of basic facilities in the village. The villagers were airing grievances that work which began 10 years ago have remained incomplete and accused the legislator of only remembering his constituents before elections. Among the issues brought up were the condition of the only village school which was in a run down state, the lack of a proper bridge over a drain in front of the school and the incomplete construction of a bridge near a river diversion, where soil was poured to temporarily prevent the flow of water but no construction had proceeded for years which restricted the flow of water to farms and had ruined crops.
The original Drifter's Reef bar, built near the harbor area at Wake Island, opened its doors to aircrews, visitors and other "drifters" on November 8, 1949. With the end of hostilities with Japan and the increase in international air travel driven in part by wartime advances in aeronautics, Wake Island became a critical mid-Pacific base for the servicing and refueling of military and commercial aircraft. The United States Navy resumed control of the island, and in October 1945 400 Seabees from the 85th Naval Construction Battalion arrived at Wake to clear the island of the effects of the war and to build basic facilities for a Naval Air Base. The base was completed in March 1946 and on September 24, regular commercial passenger service was resumed by Pan American Airways (Pan Am).
Since becoming owner of Alavés in 2013, Josean Querejeta forged close links between the football club and his basketball team Saski Baskonia including a joint training initiative for children (5+11 Foundation). He also stated his desire for Alavés to have an elite training facility, and this became a more urgent concern when the team were promoted to La Liga in 2016. The proximity of the Betoño grounds to Baskonia's :Fernando Buesa Arena and BAKH multi-sports centre led to it being the preferred site to be developed, ahead of Ibaia which has only basic facilities and is located at an isolated site on the other side of the city. However, if Alavés were to take back full exclusive control of Betoño, the local teams based there would be without a home ground close to them.
Considering the various sources of evidence of their growing in districts from rainforested city surrounds through to villages and to places far from cities' basic facilities or herbaria for botanical science, it is not surprising that official national herbaria hold numerous specimens of un- described, potentially new species, for example in Papua New Guinea's national herbarium in Lae. Botanists from European backgrounds have scientifically described the current three species as they obtained good enough herbarium dried specimen collections. In their written descriptions of the three species, they briefly comment about potential new species or segregate species, that they have seen on expeditions or refer to in other botanist's collections and descriptions. People from the region of New Guinea, working professionally, such as in government or science, have published written reports of some of the knowledge and uses of these species of trees.
The events at the Moree Swimming Baths in February 1965 constitute a defining moment in the history of race relations in Australia. The activities of the Student Action for Aborigines group at Moree drew the attention of the public to the informal and institutional racial segregation practised at that time in outback towns in New South Wales. The events at Moree also highlighted the failures at both state and federal levels; while both spoke rhetoric of inclusion into the wider Australian society, Aboriginal people in country towns were still being excluded from sharing basic facilities. The publicity that the events at the Moree baths attracted contributed to shaping a climate of opinion resulting in a resounding Yes vote in the 1967 referendum, leading to a change in the Australian Constitution to allow the Australian Government to make laws specifically for Aboriginal people.
Tejuosho Market Tejuosho Market is an ultramodern market located along the Ojuelegba-Itire Road in Yaba, Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria. The market which is divided into two phases (Phase I and Phase II) contains about 2,383 lock-up shops in a sprawling four-storey building and about 1,251 K-clamps units, banking spaces, 14 food court spaces, eight lifts, two escalators connecting the four floors, 600 parking lots and basic facilities like stable electricity and water supply, equipped fire station, two rams to assist the physically challenged and a crèche. Some years after a fire incident that destroyed most part of the market, the Lagos State Government, Stormberg Engineering Limited, and First Bank of Nigeria in a public-private partnership reconstructed the market into a mega shopping plaza as part of plans to turn Lagos into a "Mega City".
The general state of health care in Myanmar is poor. The government spends anywhere from 0.5% to 3% of the country's GDP on health care, consistently ranking among the lowest in the world. Although health care is nominally free, in reality, patients have to pay for medicine and treatment, even in public clinics and hospitals. Public hospitals lack many of the basic facilities and equipment. The 2010 maternal mortality rate per 100,000 births for Myanmar is 240. This is compared with 219.3 in 2008 and 662 in 1990. However, there were problems in the design of the roof and due to the position of the railroad, a larger than affordable station was probably necessary. The railroad also said that the city's need for basic facilities is not needed, especially during the summer months and they felt this could wait until after World War I as supplies were needed for the war effort. Hearings were held in Newark on May 2 and May 9, 1917, between the city and the railroad. Testimony was given by both sides in determining the need for a station, the present situation and whether the "wait until after the war" argument, which Passaic called an excuse, was viable. The board felt the city had made a fair case to new facilities, citing that the 1888 depot, present on the westbound side of the station had a ticket office, restrooms, and a baggage office.
In summer 2017 an agreement in principle over the purchase of Betoño, involving an annual fee to the city until 2020 when a land purchase fee of €6 million would be paid, accompanied by a proposal for the local teams to have use of Ibaia for their matches, appeared to have been reached in summer 2017, but some months later this became less certain when the price of the land involved, including the former Michelin factory adjacent to the sports complex, was set at €16 million by the city council.
